It's a bit rough, but I think it'll do the job.I'm just gonna have a quick cuppa while I review the instructions, and then I'll start.
If Mr BE gets a little spare time while the pie is baking he might want to run a few more of these off the production line, 2 of them sold on Ebay for £29 recently, if he writes 'Midwinter' inside it will be worth even more.

Better still he could make one that looks like an elephant standing on a circus tub thingy with a ball balanced on it's trunk he'll sell it for about £100......0 -

Excellent work so far both MBE and tigs! :T
Agree with you jobbingmusician that the chicken "oysters" are delicious - so moist, tender and full of flavour0 -
very impressive both :T :T :T
I also use the balancing method when making my pie lids.
... don't believe her ^^^ she's a filthy liar and can't cookde do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
Just off to roll out my pastry/pizza base. DH will be home soon demanding sustenance!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Now I know my base doesn't look as neat as MrBE's but you won't see that bit as I'm going to shovel my pie filling in. My lid will be immaculate!
Havn't found the oysters yet, it's all a bit rushed at the mo (don't forget I'm doing roasties too). I will find them later and report back...0 -
Looks good to me, tigs...mine was ermm...quite patchy!
I take it that once it's been in the oven for 12 mins it's only meant to be ½ cooked? Mine got a bit sweaty under the greaseproof, so took peas out and put in for another minute or so.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
