    morning all.

1 unplanned In this weekend - My skin has been pants for a week or two and the last time it did this I tried L'oreal day cream and it really sorted my skin out so got one on offer in boots at the weekend in the hope it does the same again!

UU: Trevor sorbie heat protector - WIBA? YES - smells great, does the job and isn't too expensive!

OUT - moisturiser from gift set - have stuck with it for 2weeks now but basically I hate it! and I don't think it is doing my skin any good so I binned it - just couldn't keep going with it!

Am hoping to get time for a bath and a bit of a pamper tomorrow night and i know this will mean a couple of UU :)

  • Welcome back Lostinrates - good to see that you're back with us and have done well while you've been AWOL! Where are you based now?

Mineallmine there really is no point in trying to use a shampoo that leaves your hair like cotton wool - it's just damaging it and will cost more to put right the damage in the long term. Either pass that one in to someone else, or throw it out and mark it down to experience.

Well done to all those dho have resisted purchases over the weekend too. I might to PY(T)NM in a bit - don't feel like doing anything much more constructive as I have a rotten sore throat and had a bad nights sleep as a result. I'm also waiting to hear about a rather uncertain job situation - fingers crossed please!

Phew, just caught up, sorry if some of these replies are a little too late :D
A make from Sainsburys that I am not keen on and one of those shampoos that aims to get rid of brassiness - it's a silver bottle (some posh make from Boots) apparently it comes out purple and I'm worried about using it. Anyone here used it?

Is it Toni & Guy? If so, I use this - sorts out any brassiness really quickly. I used to use once a week to keep my (light blonde) hair non-brassy. I use it less now though, as I've been using other shampoos that make my hair less brassy in the first place! It doesn't turn your hair purple, though my only complaint would be that it doesn't lather very well.

I looked at www.escentual.com last night. The 2 Clarins items I wanted were a total of £17 cheaper than in the dept store, plus they offered free del over £40 spend and a free gift (the flash balm I think which would ebay for about £8-£9 if you don't want it) if you bought 2 Clarins items. Anyone used this company?

EDIT TO ADD. Just checked and it's also 7.5%cashback from Quidco. Good saving......... balanced against excellent advice and customer service plus lots of freebies I've been currently getting from Clarins counter at House of Fraser, so ?????

I've used this company a couple of times - really quick delivery and solid packaging, never had any issues.

I need perfumes..that's what I'd like. I have spent this year running stuff down (apart from a sneaky summer hol purchase of Narciso Rodriguez Essence:p) It had just occurred to me this morning that I should go on a sniffathon to identify what I'd like as my birthdays in Nov too!

I sooooo need to do this too before I get any new perfurmes! I'm quite bad though at remembering what I liked - I'll spray on a few, let them settle, and think "ooh, that one is really nice, must make a note of it..." and never do, d'oh :p

LiR - welcome back! Congrats on the move, hope you are loving your new place.

And a big welcome to the newbies :T

Hi LiR, welcome back:D. We went to a castle on the edge of dartmoor in August and it had a big chair made out of grass etc- I thought of you when I saw it!
In, mens radox shower gel. UU mens nivea shower gel. Tea tree shampoo. WIBA? Yes to both- just not yet :) we do only have one boy flavour shower gel in stock at a time now though.
Gah, DH has just come home for lunch and criticised my tiling. Then walked through and shoved all of the ironed clothes on the table so he can sit down. He could actually have taken some upstairs but no!
OK, enough wingeing, off to finish my tiling after I've put away the ironing :)
