Finished another one of the mini lipglosses, still got some left. Managed to walk away from Revlon Emerald City, which I WANTED, but already have millions of varnishes... still want it tho. :D:A
  • Restrained myself from buying any Lush preview Christmas items.......... well until they're released anyway!! Down to about 25 bath bombs now
  • A few UU's but only because I have decided to start using the stack of sample sachets I have! A Elemis facial wipe (freebie) - it left my face nice and soft but a bit hard to tell from one use if it did anymore than that. A Nivea bodysculpt gel sample - nice gel, rubbed in well, not sticky, not sure if its sculpted my tum from one go but I can but hope! LOL

Salon Selectives conditioner - last from my stash, brought back memories of the 80's.

King of Shaves shaving oil for women - I have had this in my cupboard for years and I am not sure why as it really is good stuff - not a cut leg in sight.
  • I used a sachet of Spa Recipes Thermal Hot Face Pack this afternoon before having a nice warm shower. I was going to change the nail polish on my toes but have run out of time, so might do that tomorrow night.
  • Evening all,

    Some planned ins:
Clarins cleansers - bought at Boots to get the free gift stuff. My skin only seems to like their cleansers and the free gift stuff "helps" counteract the spend.
Clarins perfume thingie - just ran out and bought this to replace it. I fell in love with Chanel No 5 Premiere but £52 was the cheapest price in Boots, think i will have to save to buy that as a treat.
Hairdressers shop shampoo and conditioner - againt to replace depleted stocks. I have 3 other shampoos - 1 Aveda which my hair doesnt like, 1 plantinum blonde Toni & Guy which made my hair like cotton wool and 1 other one not started. So I'm loathe to throw these out. So I will have to use them up but use the good stuff in between.

    Unplanned ins:
Bought some hair serum from the hairdressers - been thinking about this stuff for ages. I do have a lot of serums and that. My hair is very dry so I dont see this as a waste of money. Think I may have to weigh up whether using the naff shampoos is ruining my hair, meaning more spend on serums and that. Aaarrrgh! Hate throwing stuff out though.

Body Shop teatree blemish gel - been thinking about this for ages too. My Clinique anti blemish thingie is nearly gone and I do find it a bit harsh/drying so I'm hoping this BS one will be better.

    Was good/didn't buy/Yay me:
Maybelline 3 for 2 offer in Boots. I really want to try their Colossal mascara but I have a couple in stash so that would be naughty. Plus I wanted to try their Mousse make up (the matt one) but dont know what its like.

    :A
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.
 Fab thread: Long daily walks
  • Some more UU to report...

Dove Shampoo WIBA yes i love the clean 'dove' smell
Asda Jojoba conditioner WIBA yes cheap and cheerful and does the job
Alberto Balsam Intensive Treatment conditioner in tube WIBA I only got one use out of it (using all the bits and bobs my sisters left before returning to uni) but seems nice enough, probably not conditioning enough to use as a treatment but good for an everyday conditioner IMO

    Have a good day x

Hi Mineallmine, do you have a good friend or relative that you could pass the Aveda and T&G shampoos on to, which would be better than throwing them out? It's a shame to have to carry on using these products if they don't suit your hair. Bad hair days are not good days!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hello, I'm not sure if any of you will remember me...but I'm back anyway :)

I've been pretty good in my three month absence; a couple of bottles of conditioner and deodorant, and a very expensive bottle of aveda oil, a mascara and foundation in duty free. I've been using soaps, shampoos, moisturisers, cleansers and other stuff entirely from stash. :)

BUT lack of a great bathroom and reliable hot water is meaning I'm skimping on ''spiritual'' and stash-diminishing bath time. My skin is showing the effects of quick scrub and moisturise rather than dedicated regimes, and my hair is struggling with the change in water.

I've got internet now, and to try and get myself into shape or winter I've rejoined this and the fashion thread.

Well Ladies, I’m back from holiday, and have a lovely tan, some slightly dry skin (much body buttering to be done :)) and some buys/use ups to report.

I’ve also got a lot of posts to catch up on, which I’ll do shortly! Everyone seems to have been very busy :)

    Buys:
    • Boots Sun and Swim shampoo – this was needed, as I didn’t have anything else to remove chlorine.
    • small nailpolish from Boots, I think it was a 17 one? This was naughty but necessary - I have loads of polishes, but got to the airport, and realised I brought none with me for my holiday, d'oh! So just bought a little one, in an orangey/coral colour, which I didn't already have, and did want :)

    Use Ups:
    • Toni & Guy Protein Protect Mist. WIBA? Yes – this is my HG hair protect spray. And I have one in stash :) I’ve been a little naughty tho, as I’ve had this open at the same time as a John Frieda spray, which I opened first :o. And it’s still not finished. I am on the dregs though!
    • Boots Sun and Swim shampoo :p WIBA? Does the job ok, so yes.
    • Superdrug Bzzzz off insect repellent spray. WIBA? Umm, not sure – it did work, and the spray was very handy, and not as irritating as anything with DEET in it, but I wanted to run away from it when applying! The spray made me choke a lot, ick. I suppose it was fine outdoors, if you ran away from the cloud quickly :rotfl:
    • Dove mini moisturiser bottle. WIBA? No – couldn’t even be bothered to check what exactly it was. BS BBs are much better.
    • 2 x Soltan cooling sprays – SPF 15 and 25. WIBA? Yes – lovely suncream in hot weather, and do the job nicely. I used a full bottle of the 25, and the end of the 15 (at end of holiday) and didn’t burn at all, just nicely and slowly tanned.
    • Soltan “Extreme” spf 25. WIBA? I used this on my face as it’s a nice cream. Also sprays well and a handy size to carry, especially when doing sporty stuff, as I think it does last longer than those above.
    • Aloe Vera Gel. WIBA? Yes – useful if I do burn, and just refreshing at the end of the day, especially if left in the fridge!
    • Batiste mini can. WIBA? Yes - I love Batiste, and the mini cans are useful for travelling light, so I’d buy again if I needed a small one.
    • Boots No7 hair protecting spray. WIBA? No - got it ages ago with a voucher, and does an ok job I think of lookign after hair in sun, but also made mine look really lank and greasy. I didn't actually use it all, just abandoned it on holiday so I could stay under my wieght limit, but I'd never have used it again anyway :D
