Re NSDs, as CW says, you set your own rules. ....each day that you manage to keep your hard earned and ill gotten in your purse is a mini triumph in itself. The F word ( as in sshhh "failure") does not exist. Anyone caught using it will be dealt with most severely........
*adjusts monocle & stands proud by the marble fire-place* Bay Jove! Eye think she's gottit! *taps pipe on mantle before putting in corner of mouth* [I loved Rex Harrison in that film!] *wipes imaginary tear from cheek & smiles gently* My babies..they grow so quickly *sniff* *straightens & folds arms* You have learned well Glass-popper *bows from waist* ..........a-no!...think I'm done...can't think of any other mentor-thingie things...

    Hi

I'm intrigued by the NSD thing so thought I'd pop in and see what its all about? Can you explain what qualifies as a NSD? If I have to pay bus fare to get to work can I still count it?
Hi Helena  glad you called by. There's folk at all stages on this Challenge so when you're ready, just jump in OK. As others have already said, it really is down to you what you want to class as a spend so have a think about what your routine involves. I wrote a brief outline for MY criteria HERE if it's of any help, & like Spoon [Solvent] says, any questions on absolutely anything--just ask. Someone will be able to point you in the right direction ;)
....roads are a no go as the Pope is visiting, so will work from home.....
What a nice surprise for the Aliens--a new 'friend' to play with! Hope you've hidden the beetroot brownies from Hubert tho & I guess the neighbours are used to impassable thoroughfares with the amount of times the Tardis has called by. And my sincere apologies, for I had not realised I was in such esteemed company as to know someone who knows the Pope well enough to have him round for a brew & a bickie :rotfl:

Well Folks, No 11 has been chalked up for another month. I still haven't tracked down some reasonably priced loft boards so I've a feeling my usually pristine weekend score chart may be marred, but can't be helped...we shall see.

I have just made a chocolate cake with a gooey choc filling and topping, some florentines (recipe was on here a while back) and a fruit cake with whisky in it. That might just last a day or two. Hang on a sec, I am at work all day tomorrow so I will be lucky to see any of that stuff when I get home, OH and DS being such gannets!

Had to spend on some bits and pieces today, but found some really good bargains in household stuff and foodstuffs in Home Bargains, so must remember to pay them a visit when doing the monthly big shop. Tomorrow should be another NSD, slowly but surely etc etc etc!

    YUMMYYUMMYYUMYUM
But it ruined my NSD for today though! :S
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
  • Yay I'm now at 7!!! NSD was actually yesterday but I forgot to pop on and update (sorry!) today wont be a NSD as I had to buy bits and pieces from the shop for this weekend as when we did the big shop on Saturday with the triple points the "smell-buy" dates were too soon :(

Number 9 for me please, only spent on travel which I NEEDED to do, so it doesn't count as it was under a tenner.

Well done on your kitchen...crikey, getting stuck in on another room already!! Mind you, I can understand trying to get things done before it gets too dark/wet/cold. We are supposed to be re-decorating the conservatory, but needed to get the
kitchen sorted first so we could empty the "spare" cupboard in the conservartory, then Freegle it. Now we have a bit more space (well, the tumbler has returned from its summer in the shed :o). Stil trying to decide which red to paint the walls...want a rich warm one. As there is lots of wood (both stained and painted) the red won't be overpowering. Both DH and I are home this weekend so we may get a start on it proper...hope I will feel a bit better by then.

The colours for the conservatory sound lovely, i can imagine it being a super cosy room watching the snow falling outside, hope it goes well, i'll think about you while i'm busy up my ladder!! :D

    Number 9 today :j
straight home from work, washing on the line & an evening of sorting out my paperwork awaits so no chance for spending there! :T
    February NSD challenge 5/15
  • Despite what I posted earlier, I have managed to make today a NSD. Still, I won't make my target of 15 for the month as I only stand at a pitiful 2!!
