    oh dear poor you - they say things come in three's so hopefully that is your lot. I guess in those kinda situations you need to try and look at the positive;

    a) Sunday - at least it wasn't a kitchen fire
    b) Tuesday - at least you weren't stuck in the 9 day traffic jam in Beijing
    c) Today - you have a darling sister and fingers crossed it won't be anything tooooo serious with the car

either that or curl up in your pjs with a good book, hot choc and some biccies and have a right good wallow.... that works too, trust me! ;) xx

Thanks kerrigt - you are right. Thanks for the crossed fingers, it worked, turned out I had run over a nail and I had a flat tyre. Don't know how much it will cost but it will be cheaper than the new engine I had anticipated, plus the garage guy got my radio working !!! Am thrilled, although have got a CD stuck in CD player, but who cares, we can still play so it can stay in there until it drives me insane and then I'll probably pull it apart getting it out.

Day was majorly exhausting, walked kids to childminder, then went to garage to drop car keys off so they could collect it, walked to train station (about mile and a half in total); got off train walked up hill for a mile with head on wind , looked like a sweaty beetroot when I arrived over an hour late for work. After work was feeling very good so declined lifts back to station as I was determined that if I had slogged it up the hill I was bl**dy well going to enjoy the benefit of going down it (so walked another mile), got off train, walked to garage to collect mended car. Am now exhausted but happy.

Did have to pay 12.00 for train ticket so not a NSD for me. Will have to ensure I don't spend anything tomorrow, I really want to make my target this month!! Have fun everyone.
  • Ok claiming another one, this dodgy tum has definitely advantages, that's 4 in a row if I was a football supporter, is now the time to run around the lounge with my teeshirt over my head????

  • Oh nooooo....... poor you, what a carp week. Really hope things get better for you soon, hopefully that's your 3 bad things this week done and dusted and the rest of the week will be fine.

Hope you had a better evening

Thanks solventsoon, it has been carp, but I am sure that there are people worse off than me. Thanks for the support. Hope you have a good evening tonight x

I'm currently riding a Hornet - bought off a friend for only £200, ready to ride away! It's a little rough around the edges, but a perfect compromise of a little hint of sportiness, but not an out-and-out guzzler - the other day I got more miles out of a full tank than the Haynes manual said I could - oh how Martin would have been proud!!

I've got a couple of spare 'stealth' ones that anyone is more than welcome to ...

Hey don't knock a £200 bike, some of the best fun I have ever had is on stuff I couldn't care less if I scratched while out to do a bit of er, scratching! I quite like Hornets actually. Have an irrational pathalogical loathing of the Bandit mind you- don't even ask why I don't know- I'd honestly rather rock up on a ped!

About those lids... I have seriously got to know where you found those, that top one is a dead ringer for Mr-H haha!

When I get me next one (not telling you what it is you'll take the micky) I am gluing a headscarf to an open face lid- the bike DEMANDS a headscarf and red lippy! (That's practically given it away now haha).

I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

Just poppped on to declare another NSD - so that takess me up to 8 :j 4 more until my target.

Miss Empty Piggy - that's good news about your car (well not good news you ran over a nail but good news it wasn't the engine/gear box/other part that costs the equivilant of at least half the value of the car itself). Well done with all the exercise too, I must admit I would be like you wanting to walk back down the darn hill after trekking up it. Bet you'll sleep like a log tonight.

Big hugs to everyone who has had carp days, or is just feeling a bit rubbish. xx

Prob won't manage a NSD tomorrow, hubby came in COVERED in ink (work related, he hasn't been finger painting at lunchtime...i don't think anyway :rotfl:) and I have run out of washing liquid, also need dish clothes and I'm sure there's some other household thingy I need. Also need to pop to the DIY store tomorrow to try and find a tester pot for that piece of paint I pulled off the wall with my art mishap the other week (H*mebase don't have it in still)

Yeah! downhill 'til the weekend now - whoo!!! :j

    Good evening NSDers,

I am checking in to report another NSD - eight for September. This is not only becoming a bit easier but also having NSDs is good not only for my finances but also for my wasteline - every time I am tempted to nip out to buy chocolate I find myself thinking: "Wouldn't this be nice, but it is a NSD today. Some other time may be..."

    And it works.
