Thanks; the store said each branch chose what lines to carry, but you'd think bog-standard items would be available everywhere wouldn't you..or am I being too idealistic  We only wanted two packs for now so it wasn't worth the postage to have them delivered. Still, their loss as there's a couple of other places a little [emphasis on little!] further afield who are no doubt, more than happy to have my custom ;)
And, Lady, you should be chuffed! Well Done you!

What a pain BigMumma, hope you get them without too much trouble and travel..
    And thanks:A

If you want to read this next bit you'll have to highlight, but I don't want to be accused of scare-mongering :oFrom Sept 15 to Dec 24 is 100 days. You have been warned! Food for thought eh...

Err...... I could have words with you about this scaremongering;););)

 Am totally fed up. My week so far has consisted of: Sunday - oven fire; Tuesday the extra long diversion; today car conked out on me on the way home. Got to a garage (luckily an ex student picked me up whilst walking to garage 2 miles away) had to buy oil - nearly £19.00!!! Car still not good so had to leave it and then get darling sis to come and collect me. Bless her. :ASo no NSD for me again!:(

Oh nooooo....... poor you, what a carp week. Really hope things get better for you soon, hopefully that's your 3 bad things this week done and dusted and the rest of the week will be fine.

Hope you had a better evening

Hello all :hello: i've missed you!!

The laptop charger very unhelpfully decided to die on me just as the kitchen units & my dad arrived  so have only just got round to sorting it out... no MSE the last few days has been like losing an arm, i've felt sooo lost!!!

On the bright side, the kitchen is very close to be finished, although the doors didn't come with the units (i have to wait another 2 weeks for them), but i am nevertheless very excited to have a working sink & cupboards to put things in :j :j
My dad has been the best & even bought me the tap i had my heart set on after i reluctantly decided i couldn't spend £160 on it, i lurve him so much (& my tap!) :grinheart
Right, off to work out why the tumble dryer isn't drying
    Night all!! x

And we missed you too, BDINI

Sooooo pleased you're finally getting your kitchen sorted after all that hard work, that's brilliant.:j:j And what a lovely dad buying you the tap:T:T

Hope you get the tumbler dryer sorted and enjoy your new kitchen.

Lost another NSD to Whoopsies - this time it was the lure of some rather nice looking bangers :o

Got 3 packs of 'The Best' sausages (6 bangers to a pack, I'll use 2 a meal), 2 packs being 'Pork' the third being 'Pork, Blossom Honey and Herbs'. Should be £2.59/pack or 2 packs for £4.50. Marked down to 99p/pack when I picked them up. Spotted them at the end of my afternoon break (45 mins before shift end) but didn't dare lift them off the shelf and tuck them away in the bakery as there was a senior manager in the vicinity - as a result I missed out on two other varieties (one with chilli, and I think the other was Lincolnshire) :(

Also got a pack of 16 'normal' thick sausages (908g) for 99p instead of £1.93. Split this into 2 bags of 8, and plan to try out a sausage casserole recipe that was posted on the GC thread earlier this evening ;)

Then, 'cos I'd already lost my NSD, I also picked up 2 packs of Lemon Cup Cakes (6 cakes per pack, reduced from £1.29 to 25p)

The Potato and Meat pies from yesterday (Mon) plus the bangers from today (Tues) are now all in my freezers. Took out some chips and veg for tonights tea, a small piece of cod fillet for tomorrow, a tub of stewed apple (I eat this cold with cream or ice-cream and have both in the house, or hot as crumble and custard and cream/ice-cream which I have all the other makings of in the house) and a bag of value frozen fruit salad...... needed to increase my F&V intake anyway rolleyes.gif

Still managed to resist the loo rolls, but I actually had my hand hovering over the packet so I don't think it'll be long before the panic sets in too much to be ignored !!!

Am also getting twitchy about tea bags now, as I realised this morning I don't have many left in the cannister and only one box of 240 left on top of my cupboards (which will probably last me about 4-5 weeks). Last purchase (when I already had a 'small stock') was 6 boxes back in January, when A!di had some on offer (50% free)

I also have far more tins of baked beans than I'm likely to use any time soon (don't like them unless they're cooked into something), probably more tins of tomatoes than I'll need this year (unless the sausage casserole turns out to be extra-scrummy), and 'just a few' tins of Tuna

    Good morning all!

    # 7 for me yesterday, brill! Plus I sold a book on Amazon and got word of a mystery shop assignment for Friday, so thats £25 winging its way to me!:T Wont have to pay postage on the book as I have loads of stamps from another survey so its all good!
Spoon and Big Mumma - you know I'd make lunch for you anytime, but BMF you dont want to be coming into the madhouse with me!;)
bdini - congrats on getting your kitchen done, a well deserved pat on the back to you!:T Lovely to get your tap paid for - these treats make it all worthwhile!
Going for #8 today - no reason why not!!
BTW I do enjoy hearing what people hoard - its funny how we all have one thing we get really twitchy about running out of! We should have a swap shop - mind you our combined loo roll mountain could probably be seen from space:rotfl::rotfl:

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

  • Well yesterdays NSD was a SD but only in terms of train fare (£2.50) and budgetted for so I am ok with that.

I was hoping to cycle in today but an interview changed that, so drove in so I can get to the place on time and with my portfolio :) So got to pay for parking (£3.50). So the spend days are kept at a minimum :)

I am still on course for having made my lunch every day this month which has certainly helped me :) If I can keep going, I am on course this month to clearing my overdraft including charges from last month with a little bit extra :)

I shall then, be set up next month to FULLY start chucking extra spare cash at my CC debts :) Its such a great feeling and I feel like Ive had a massive weight taken off me :) I check my bank daily, I can goto the ATM with confidence knowing I have money in and what I can afford etc :)

    Yay \0/ :)

    Good luck all :)

Hi all, would just like to report NSD number 4 for yesterday!

But I can already rule out today, as last night my bathroom scales broke, and I have to buy more today as I'm on a diet and need to track my progress! :D
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
