 Am totally fed up. My week so far has consisted of: Sunday - oven fire; Tuesday the extra long diversion; today car conked out on me on the way home. Got to a garage (luckily an ex student picked me up whilst walking to garage 2 miles away) had to buy oil - nearly £19.00!!! Car still not good so had to leave it and then get darling sis to come and collect me. Bless her. :ASo no NSD for me again!:(

    oh dear poor you - they say things come in three's so hopefully that is your lot. I guess in those kinda situations you need to try and look at the positive;

    a) Sunday - at least it wasn't a kitchen fire
    b) Tuesday - at least you weren't stuck in the 9 day traffic jam in Beijing
    c) Today - you have a darling sister and fingers crossed it won't be anything tooooo serious with the car

either that or curl up in your pjs with a good book, hot choc and some biccies and have a right good wallow.... that works too, trust me! ;) xx

  • Hello all :hello: i've missed you!!

The laptop charger very unhelpfully decided to die on me just as the kitchen units & my dad arrived  so have only just got round to sorting it out... no MSE the last few days has been like losing an arm, i've felt sooo lost!!!

On the bright side, the kitchen is very close to be finished, although the doors didn't come with the units (i have to wait another 2 weeks for them), but i am nevertheless very excited to have a working sink & cupboards to put things in :j :j
My dad has been the best & even bought me the tap i had my heart set on after i reluctantly decided i couldn't spend £160 on it, i lurve him so much (& my tap!) :grinheart

Even better i managed to clock up another 3 NSD's, so thats 7 now i think please Spoon :T

Right, off to work out why the tumble dryer isn't drying
    Night all!! x

  • evening, wot a busy day ive had, was let out ov the dungeon at 2 this morning, (could only manage 8hrs overtime today as had my little lad from 7 this morning so needed sum sleep) had 5 hrs kip, then got up and paid my TV off, one less debt, to woory about, then went mums to repair my lil bro's car, saved him a fortune on garage fee's plus i love good mess, can't resist getting my hands dirty when it comes to cars. :). Then home b4 the school run, then once the missus came home we set off for the shops, a bit of well thought out shoping, bout some kitchen scales, tin foil pie cases, frozen pasrty, fruit, veg, lentils chick pes etc,. so we can start to follow in every1 else foot steps on MSE and freeze some home cooked food. Thinking off starting wiv soups and shepards pies. I know i was gonna treat meself to lunch but saved the money i would ov spent and put it towards shopping insted.

Anyway off to bed now as back in on days 2morrow, and gotta start wiv them NSD's again.
YNAB is my new best friend. :)

First time I have spotted this and so far this month have had only 3 shopping for food days out of 14.So I think I am doing quite well.At the moment I have my right arm bandaged from fingertip to shoulder as I am having therapy on it for lymphodema so I am living out of my fridge /freezer and cupboards.ever tried to cook with only one hand and not even the hand you normally use .very difficult at the moment .i can see me living on cereals by the end of the week.last night it took me almost 50 minutes to cook something to eat.Still I have lots of HM soup in the freezer and frozen mash which helps .tonight I will attemp to make some chops with mash and some frozen veggies . Roll on the end of the month when I get a new sleeve to wear and I can use both hands again. Still it keeps me away from the shops so I should save quite a bit.

:hello:Hi JackieO and welcome to the NSD challenge

You're doing well this month (not totally by choice though, by the looks of it:(). Would you like to join us and give yourself a target for the rest of the month? If so, I'll happily add you, otherwise please feel free to post on here as and when you like and then maybe join up for October? This thread is a regular on here so there will be a new challenge for October.

Hope your arm heals soon, it sounds painful, and that you manage to cope with cooking with your left hand.

    Take care

    Good morning all!

Back to work today after being on holiday for nearly two weeks - all organised for lunches. We have a fridge at work, so Im taking some salad, chargrilled chicken and wraps for lunch for today and tomorrow plus yogurt and strawberries. Planning on NSD's for both days!

Would you like to make my lunch, Jinty? pretty please:D:D

Ahh.. thanks.... I have to say that working from home definitely helps - as does working nearly a 50-hour week at the moment - there has to be some benefit ;)

Cheryl - you made me laugh re the toilet rolls - be strong gal, you know you can do it! Maybe we should have a looroll anonymous thread - " Hello, my name is Jinty and Im a looroll addict, I currrently have 14 in my cupboard and there's only two of us":rotfl:
    Have a lovely day everyone:)
morning all, still sofaaing so should have another to-day, tum is truly not a happy tum!

its not loorolls with me, its tins, particularly tomatoes, I've got errr 22 at the moment.............

Is this the confessions thread today, Jinty and Cheryl with their loo rolls, and dopey with her tins of tomatoes - anyone else going to confess to a hoarding instinct?

    BigMumma - loo rolls again
boultdj - more loo rolls (how many :eek:) and baked beans and more tomatoes

Errr.. me...... shampoo - I've got 12 bottles (all different) which I'm working my way through - that's gone down from nearly 20 (most of which I don't even remember buying:eek:

    Anyone need any shampoo?
