  • First time I have spotted this and so far this month have had only 3 shopping for food days out of 14.So I think I am doing quite well.At the moment I have my right arm bandaged from fingertip to shoulder as I am having therapy on it for lymphodema so I am living out of my fridge /freezer and cupboards.ever tried to cook with only one hand and not even the hand you normally use .very difficult at the moment .i can see me living on cereals by the end of the week.last night it took me almost 50 minutes to cook something to eat.Still I have lots of HM soup in the freezer and frozen mash which helps .tonight I will attemp to make some chops with mash and some frozen veggies . Roll on the end of the month when I get a new sleeve to wear and I can use both hands again. Still it keeps me away from the shops so I should save quite a bit.
  • NSD 10 yesterday,I have reached my target:j.Was very tempted to buy choclate, yesterday was very stressful but I didn't,very pleased with myself. Please spoon can you increase my number to 15.
    Thanks.

Thanks; the store said each branch chose what lines to carry, but you'd think bog-standard items would be available everywhere wouldn't you..or am I being too idealistic  We only wanted two packs for now so it wasn't worth the postage to have them delivered. Still, their loss as there's a couple of other places a little [emphasis on little!] further afield who are no doubt, more than happy to have my custom ;)
And, Lady, you should be chuffed! Well Done you!

....Maybe we should have a looroll anonymous thread.......:embarasse....
My in-laws were lovely people except for one major  While courting I would be invited for lunch & quickly learned to take plenty of tissues in as many pockets as I could, with this being in the days before Sunday opening hours & the closest 'convenience' store about an hour's walk away! I vowed to never be in a position where we ran out of loo roll & now try to keep at least one pack of 12 in the house & another in the boot of the car :o We've found the value ones are very good lately but I was reading on another thread the Lid! ones are supposed to be even better at a comparable price, so I might try those next time I go.

((HUGS)) first & foremost x Have to say I haven't tried cooking with one hand, but every now & again I try to use my left hand where I automatically use my right, just to get a bit of practise should anything happen :o I'm becoming a lady of a certain age & even tho I eat a fair amount of cheese & yoghurt & have that purple milk on my cereal, I know there's an increasing chance of some drastic consequence of tripping over the cat. Mind..I'd have to get a cat first....but I'm very allergic so can't see that happening either....what was I talking about confused-smiley-009.gif

I sssssooooooo agree with that sentiment PickleIA; the very best things in Life do come for free. Those e-mails you get with pictures of cute animals that make you go aaaahhhhh; beautiful rainbow; proving your snotty-nosed colleague WAS wrong :D...money can't buy any of those things. There's a couple of threads on here somewhere where folk list the five things that made their day easier; even things like the gas man turning up on time helps doesn't it :)

Today, I will mostly be spending [that gardener chap from the Fast Show was the only one I liked, but The Offspring thought it hilarious :undecided] but I broke into double figures yesterday with No 10. No chance of picking up my flooring but I'm going to order my new dressing gown today; I've been trying to talk myself out of it but Old Faithful is literally in tatters & my 'holiday' one is a wrap-around & I don't like them flapping around when I'm busy multi-tasking making the tea, loading the laundry & putting on a loaf of a morning  I've seen a couple of button or zip thru in some lovely colours, so I'm going to treat ME for a change. I keep trying to get dressed as soon as I'm up, but it doesn't always work that way & guaranteed the meter man calls before I get sorted

If you want to read this next bit you'll have to highlight, but I don't want to be accused of scare-mongering
:oFrom Sept 15 to Dec 24 is 100 days. You have been warned! Food for thought eh...

Best let it run its course PDD & hope you're in full fettle soon x The Offspring cursed my 'store cupboard' until late on Sunday evening they got the munchies & found edible treasure in them thar cupboards ;) Not sure I would have bothered waking up to join them in a banquet of beans & mini bangers, followed by rice pud & pineapple _pale_ Strange what you get a fancy for sometimes isn't it? Obviously not just pregnancy hormones then...

Best ask Pickle or Chris for a borrow of a helmet then quack-quack :rotfl:
NB I don't usually speak like that but it seemed appropriate somehow. I no it should be 'lend' ;)
