Thanks Buffy - will look into that when I get back!

Hope the week isn't as bad as you think it might be.

  • What you say makes total sense, it also simply avoids doing the yuk stuff :p.

I have had a mental block over a piece of work for almost 2 weeks, this block has basically lost me 2 weeks on all my work as it was a constant niggle that mean't I could not concentrate on anything in particular. Yesterday I got up early with the dogs, sat down at the computer in peace and quiet and wrote it - 30 minutes later it was done, its just flowed, now my mind is clearer - i just have to catch up the 2 weeks work :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Just as an aside, I was reading today about why we do things we don't want to do or that don't get us the results we want, short term gratification is the motivator - the staying in bed when you should get to work early, the marking first thing instead of doing EVERYTHING else first!

I suppose I am very much into short term gratification, the debts, the choices I make. Any how it struck a cord with me.

    xxxxx

Me too - especially the staying in bed bit - I hate mornings :(

Glad you made yourself angry enough to go and do the work. good positive use of a potentially negative emotion. WELL DONE on getting through the 4k barrier, dang it is so close that debt free ness now isn't it. then of course the trick is to start saving the money for your deposit!

good luck with staying motivated! Remember no more self sabotage in 2011.

    Hey flower....

I know I've not been on for some considerable time now...but that is why I absolutely feel qualified to say....WOW HUN....you are MAKING FANTABIDOSI PROGRESS........

Brilliantly well done on everything you are achieving........and ace you are turning a negative day into some positive energy...:j:j

PS Boyfriends aren;t all that great you know...especially if they're "just for the sake of appearances".or to "validate yourself"..The main thing is to wait for Mr Right to come along and ntot force it....I'm 50 and still waiting...:o.and actually now feel quite content. :D. So would I let some erstwhile male into the house now purely so I can say "I have a male friend visit" or "I've had a damn good shag"...:eek::eek::eek:

    NOT ON YOUR LIFE!
