  • "feels slightly fraudulent" :o:o:o

The loan is good, great in fact but the CC is not looking good (£800). :o:oI shall pay it off thismonth/next month and I can put it on 0%. Its basically a mixture of France taking my money for last month and driving lessons - I had extra over Christmas and they all fell at the wrong time. I have a savings account I can get money from and once I figure out my other account tomorrow I shall see what I can do. It will go tho, half this month and half next month. really I should have paid for France directly on it, cos once I had paid for France out of my current account I spent on my CC for fear of going overdrawn which meant I probably spent more on it then I should have. Whereas if it had been France it would have just been France IYSWIM.

I am going to move it to the 0% interest Card tomorrow and work out when to pay it off. I am SO close, only three pay checks away I reckon to being DF that I refuse to screw it up now.

  • Thanks Shoegal and everyone for being here.

Just had a horrible conversation with my Mum. She has all these syptoms for an illness that causes (eventually) a stroke. She is on lots of medication to control the syptoms (high blood pressure, irregular heart) plus she has further syptoms, not sleeping, depression and other stuff

Her Doctor referrred her to another doctor, who talked about an op, she said no so they said they would monitor it which they sort of have and it is getting worse,

Now it could be that Mum has forgotten or is ignoring the advice or info, its just that years ago i found a load of stuff on the web and told her to tell her doctors, but she says I never and she didn't, thing is memory loss is one of the syptoms so?? also she hates hospitals and could be just avoiding that idea. she has beeing living like this ages.

I wish I could be an understanding daughter its just that she never really seems to have a clue why she needs the tests and never tells me cos I ask her too many questions.

I think she is getting old and confused and it is !!!!ing impossible to help whilst I am at work all the time. Plus the still not driving thing.

I will go to the doctors Wednesday........well I will try and make an appointment. think that is their late night.
God I am so stressed. :(

Sorry you're so stressed - sending hugs x

It sounds like you're in an impossible situation with your Mum....I wish I could offer some help, but I don't know what to say - sorry :(
You are doing brilliantly with your debts though and once they are paid, that will one stress off your shoulders, which might give you more energy to tackle some of the others.

    Thinking of you :)
  • Sometimes you can't help people as they have to reach that point on their own. You may find that unless your mum is with you they may not discuss her at all.

Could you book an appointment in her name and then insist on going with her? Its half term soon and that may fit in better. Even come up with an excuse to be in the car and then go in if you think she might react.

Sorry that you are so stressed.
Sorry that there is nothing I can think of to suggest.

    Hows the driving going?

  • I have calmed down a bit now, its one of those things when you have older parents and aged parents, its very hard, they are grow ups but sometimes and I am not saying I do this now but you will have to treat them like children.

I will write to the doctors, I looked on the website and with coursework deadlines coming up at work I have no earlys I can take.

I just have to learn to deal with it.

So yesterday was a write off, I wasted most it surfing and watching Starwars! I chatted to a couple of guys on a dating website. I gradually forcing myself to let go of the ex.

Today was meant to be up and at early, but one of the guys who I was chatting to had written to me so I wrote back and we chatted some more. I have to say even though it is based on one picture on the internet, it is nice to be found attractive.

After that I sorted out the clothes situation and tidied up.

    off to eat dinner now......................
