Hi Buffy, do you think the internet dating is helping? Nice distraction from life for a while eh? My friend and I are going speed dating next week . Just going for something to do really, not looking for anything.

I really do feel for you with your Mum, is it worth talking to your sister and getting her on side too? Does she maybe have more time available to go to the Dr's with her?

Do your Doctors do telephone appointments Buffy? We had to use this service a lot with MIL, I even got anti biotics over a telephone appointment on her behalf. I used to make the telephone appointments to be over my lunch hour.

Pooky also has a good point about your sister taking some responsibility:)
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • I could ask my Sister and in fact might e mail both of them after I have written to the docs(no telephone appointments, you have to book online) if I do so before I would bet my wages middle sis would tell Mum and tell me off for interfering. She does have more time and has gone to the eye doc with mum............I have to stop going to default !!!!! mode with her other wise all this will be on me.

The weekend has been a write off.

did a bit of marking, got the pre migraine swimmy head feeling tho.

didn't ring the CC people either which was daft.

    two weeks till France:)

    xxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Chin up. Not long until France.

You didn't think you looked good enough for a boyfriend and as people on here keep telling you, you are lovely. Can't wait to hear more about him x

  • [STRIKE]1. To keep a food diary for at least two weeks to work out my eating habits and my downfalls [/STRIKE]

    2. To get my debts down to below a 1000 pounds.
hmm loan good, cc not good.

    3. To lose a stone
    not a single pound lost!

    4. To have work organised. Up to date resources in proper folders, paperwork like payslips filed so I can chase up the student loans company.

working on that each this week

    5. To record my exercise for two weeks (look at how many steps I do - back to the annoying walk with me programme on the DS)

    very poor amount of steps.

    6. To go out more to meet men and date. I am getting over the ex.

rescheduled the nightout for the 12th. chatted to some guys online. nice confidence boost. Ex is still in touch. sighs. 50/50.

    7. Once I have assessed the food and exercise situation make a plan to improve both, bascially I am going along the lines of 5 pieces of fruit and vegetables and an exercise video? or one of my (many) walking programmes or or fitness dvds. I am not sure I could follow a specific diet or eating programme. We shall see what results the food diary brings.

food diary bad, exercise bad. ie none this weekend - not even a short walk! I have found the plan ShoeGal is using from Zest been tragic and pasted into a table in word, I shall print it out and tick off each day.....

    8. Use the conservatory for work.

Work is out there, but it is SO cold!

9.Make enough extra money to buy a Wii and get the wii fit/sport package. Two of my friends have it, one was a gym bunny and now uses it instead and thinks it great and the other one has lost almost a stone since doing its daily programme. I shall start looking for the cheapest price, hope its on Amazon and get back on bingo port.

I don't think I will do this now. I wouldn't use it and exercise would be better for me if it got me out of the house.

Instead I shall make as much extra money as I can to help with number 2.

    10. Work on my MA each week.

not done that at all. Need to seriously think about this.

I am home from work today, swimmy head = headache and now a really upset tummy so staying put.

Yourallhelpingme xx, I don't think I look good enough for any of these guys but hey there is no accounting for taste!

    Have a good Monday everyone

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Don't talk tosh young lady :p.

Hope you feel better soon, still wish you'd see a doc for yourself, those symptoms sound familiar, nag nag :kisses3:

Buffy see my rant about my mum on my diary. But I now feel a bit bad cos at least she is healthy. On the other hand if we lived in the same house I would probably have left by now and been homeless, if you see what I mean. We just can't live together anymore She does my head in if we do for too long.

So you have my sympathies on that. And if your sis says you are interfering then tell her to bu**er off, you aren't you are being concerned, that she doesn't see mum every day like you do, and so you have a better insight into whetherr you and she and your other sis should be worried. If she still carries on the tell her to do it herself then and say that from now on she is to take care of all things mum related with regards to Dr;s. I bet she would back down, cos all she really wants to do is visit once a week.....

sorry if this is too harsh

    Hi Buffy

Just a thought re. the cold conservatory problem... have you considered buying a heater for out there? I've just got one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Delonghi-HVF3553TB-Vertical-motorised-oscillating/dp/B003WJR6EE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1297100089&sr=8-4 for my study (which was so cold I couldn't even work in there wrapped up in furry blankets). It's the best thing I've done in ages as now I get to work in there in a peaceful space, and shut the door on work afterwards. It's fairly quiet and the thermostat means it only comes on when it's needed.

I know it's an extra expense, but if it means you get more done and better peace of mind it might be worth it.
