    Today is a new day.

It is going to be the start of a new more positive me.
I have always been the one to put others before myself.

Go shopping for me come back with things for DD, OH wants something he gets it regardless of whether I had wanted the money for something else, phonecall for DS asking to borrow money - he gets it, it is never paid back.
Money cannot buy love. Love is time spent together making memories. I want my DD to remember doing things with Mum and Dad not how much money was spent on her.
My DS is grown and has his own family (although unemployed) he has to learn not to keep coming to me.

This sounds like a massive moan but I am just putting in writing things that need to change.
I want to be debt free, I want to be able to move into a bigger house with my OH and DD in 2 years time.
To achieve these things my attitude must change.

I have always wished for a lottery win (probably like many of us) to sort my problems out but no-one is going to give you anything unless you work for it.
So a more positive attitude and away I go.

So to today-a busy one ahead with a day out with the family in the sunshine. Making the most of it while it is still around:)

I aim to make the day as cheap as possible.
Going in a friend's car - so petrol saved and half price parking.
Drinks for DD in my bag.

    I'm learning:)

Sorry for the long post but feel I have my head on a little straighter now:grin:

I like this, it sounds like a good plan :)

The ebay sales are not going as successfully as I would like.
I listed 10 items and 3 have not sold. Of the 7 let 4 have watchers so I am hopeful of a couple of sales.

Feeling sorry for my self as I have a really sore throat and achy body and head. Hoping it will shift quickly. I was asleep by 8.30 last night!

I'm thinking that I maybe doing the wrong thing by attacking my highest balance first as I seem to have lost motivation.
Think I may go back to my former plan of the 2 smallest first and then the big one, hmmmm.

    Any advice welcomed:)
Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000
Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000
    LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30
    Current - August 2012 - £11803.68
    Paid so far - £7398.62

Fingers crossed you get some sales.

I think if it will motivate you, you should tackle one of the smaller debts first, then once you clear that, start again with the highest one. It will give you a boost to see a debt gone anyway!

I think I am going to go back to that plan.
My Choice will be paid up on the next statement anyway:j and then I want to get rid of Next. Then both those payment amounts can go towards paying off the highest one (MBNA).

That was my original plan. Sometimes the first ones are the best:)

    Thanks for your input:)

    Today is my day off.
Do I have plans to paint the town red-not exactly:)

    Today is major declutter day.

Starting in the kitchen - it is the first room you come to when you enter my house and therefore for some reason the messiest.
The binmen come tomorrow so I going to get it all sorted into BIN, RECYCLE and KEEP (I doubt there is anything saleable in there)

I feel the need to be 100% more organised:)

Wish me luck. I'll see you on the other side:D

    Thanks Pennywise.

Feeling much better and although I haven't declutter much (because I am waiting for a kitchen surveyor to arrive and didn't want it to look worse than when I started:D) I have made inroads and feeling much better about it.
Just want the kitchen man to arrive and go because I feel the need to organise the garage now.

I've also got 4 loads of washing on the line so loads of 'lovely' ironing later:rotfl:

Loved this post, nothing moany about it. Putting yourself first simply means you'll be in a better position to give more to those whom you love. Win win all round really :)

Hope the big declutter is going well, tis something I needs must get on with too but have been putting off for ages. Maybe tomorrow...
