Anyone heard of about comms? should I take the deal??

Hi guys

I was contacted by this company a while back but apparently 3 business wanted a downpayment of £160! even though I have been a 3 customer for years & the phone I was offered was only the c905 so decided against it.
They called me again & have now offered me the x10 mini on 02 business unlimited everything for £30 pm (probably has fair useage policy) 36 month but upgrade to any phone I wasnt after 18 months.
So I was thinking what a great deal! then I tried to find the website seems to be under construction (could be genuine!) but have spoken to o2 they have never heard of them & decided to ask all other major phone providers they had'nt either & have all advised me not to do it!
Calling 3 2mrw to see how much it will cost to upgrade a month early (will try & get out of paying anything as I have have been a good customer for years )

Anyway just thought I'd see if anyone had ever heard about about comms or what they think of this deal?

never heard of comms however you can upgrade 3 months early with 3 normally....

Thanks, the customer service advisor said to callback 2mrw b4 8pmas upgrades were closed, but he indicated I would have to pay to do so, hopefully as I've been with 3 a long time I wont have to lol

With "3" you can upgrade in the last 110 days of your contract.

well phoned 3 they want to charge me £5 extra a month and make it a 24 month contract! they said if I call back in Oct (when upgrade is due) they will defo be able to give me a better deal.....just hope this banger lasts till then worst phone I've ever had! bit disappointed as been a 3 customer for a long time thought they would have been able to do it:(

Do NOT use About comms. They called me in May, promised me all kinds. They said i would get 2 contracts for £30 per month - that was a lie - they are £25 per month EACH. They said they would pay off my exisitng 3 contract of £360 - they havent now i have 3 demanding payment. The phones they sent were refurbished not new, and their "director" who promised me cash back and money off wont return my calls or answer my emails and letters. I was conned into taking out two new contracts, none of which they have paid off like they promised so am now stuck with 4 contracts i can ill afford and no one will help me with this one.

These guys keep sending me unsolicited texts. Their website says under construction, but on the contacts page looks amatuer. Says they do not accept deliveries there! Enough alarm bells ringing there for me to steer WELL clear!

Hi I have just had a call from "about comms" offering me a deal via Three , I called Three to be advised that they have suspended dealing with this firm due to complaints. Its weird that they can offer me a deal with a network they are no longer authorised with.

I'm wishing I had checked with this site before I accepted the offer from About Comms. Lots of minutes and texts, more than I can use for about £15 per month, but one of those "we will give you the money back schemes". The phone is not really brilliant either. Its been a lot of trouble so far but until October they did what they said. They were supposed to put £60 in my account end October 2010 and haven't yet. I telephoned end of December and again on the 11 Jan and was told it would be sorted out asap. Today I was told something similar. I told them that if it wasn't sorted now that I would report them. So lets see what happens.... I'm hoping I get my £60 in the next day or two. Presumably I report them to Ofcom? Anyone got any advice about that?

I've had exactly the same problem. They promised me 2x payments of £90 plus the repayment of the cancellation fee that 3 charged me for terminating my original contract, but guess what, I've had nothing. I'm not finished with them yet though, I'm going to trading standards to see if they can advise me because non of this was explained to me when I agreed to change my tariff.
