Welcome back to the fellow returnees xx
Well done to all the teachers for surviving the first day/s back xx0 -
Note to self: get somebody else to fling the mules, as this obviously hasn't worked. Our and DS2's beds are done and bedding washed, kids have been delegated to tidy up outside and I decluttered a 'Who do you think you are' on sky+. Tea is sorted and the kitchen still very tidy. DH not home yet - he normally finishes around 7. Not a lot, really...:( ETA Taken frozen soup out of freezer and put into bags, washed containers and put in more soup to freeze. We haven't had much organised INSET, and have had plenty of time to really declutter our rooms, and work on Schemes of Work etc - we're introducing new courses for half of the groups we teach, so quite a lot to do. On top of that, all the school's computers and laptops have been upgraded to Windows 7, and they've introduced new software for our planners.
What a nightmare couple of days you've had. Well done on the planning, though. We only have one day on Monday and most of that will be organised. I spent 3 days in the first week gutting my room, but left most of the stuff on desks in the centre. Lots of filing to do. Just realised though that I can go in early on Monday, as DS1 is looking after DS2. That will be a 7am start, then.
ETA My traffic light diet book has arrived and it looks promising. As the house is being emptied of treats I'm getting ready to make a start.fedupandskint wrote: »I feel grotty as anything today with a virus, AF has arrived and all I want to do is get curled up and sleep

Sorry you're feeling rough at the start of the weekend. You're doing really well with all the things you're making, though. Your shelves will be positively groaning.0 -

Thanks MrsC
forgot about the blackberries until I read this - good job I did and rescued them from the fridge - just had to chuck a few mouldy ones out and popped the rest and 2 cooking apples into half the amount of gin - just need a small bottle to top up tomorrow. Yesterdays version has turned a gorgeous shade of purple
Tomorrow is runner bean pickle (first time I've made this one) and a late summer apricot and date chutney
Just making half versions of each eg 3-4 jars as I'm running out of jars
Might have a go at some Piccalilli this weekend if I have enough ingredients to use.
ETA - and make banana loaf and a BM loaf - DON'T FORGET and USE UP THOSE BLACK BANANAS!!!!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Ouch! Thanks, pigpen - mules and donkeys duly received. Just realised that I probably won't have enough eggs for the cake, so I'll have to call at the farm tomorrow morning. Will make cereal bars and twinks tonight (mainly for the return journey from Manchester with two potentially hungry teens tomorrow night).
DH has accepted food, a cup of tea and a lift, but still couldn't manage a thank you. Good job the kids have better manners.
List for tonight:
bake cereal bars and twinks
plan route to Cricket Ground/Trafford Centre
spend at least 15 minutes putting clothes away (bruises from mules will remind me)
ETA Fedup - any idea where I could find small bottles for bottling rosehip syrup and similar? I could do with them being not much bigger than 125ml.0 -
Well done on the planning, though.

The 'well done' would be quite justified if I'd actually done any planning - I haven't!!:o We used to do our planner on Excel (which I loathed with a passion) and now we've been given One Note, and a template - it will be good I think once I've learned how to use it! The planning has been complicated by the publishers not actually being ready with the book we are introducing until March/April, so we have to cobble together a temp SoW for Year 9, and all the Spanish groups, until then... My room looks nice though!
Good luck with the diet book - I find it very easy to adapt to family life. I've been very good this week, and have also stuck to a 15 minute walk every day too.:D
Lame Wolf - I'm sorry - didn't mean to make you go pale green! He said he didn't think, just thumped the top of his arm. Anyway, he's made an appt with the chiropractor for Monday, and seems okay today - I haven't seen him, he's gone to a friend's.
Only really came back on to say - ta dah - I've done the bathroom!!:DIt is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
I'm fairly sure Mumto5's trip to Harrods is an annual event (how long have I been a member of this thread...)
LOL who's been keeping tabs on me! :rotfl::rotfl:
I am going to continue it for as long as they still believe. I am nervous this year as I suspect some little oik will !!!!! DS1's bubble. My big uns all are so bewitched with the magic of Christmas that they know it's more than their life is worth to spoil it for the little ones.Ooh, Serena, that made me go all cold, the thought of putting his arm back into place himself.:( I hope the poor lad is OK.
Me too on both sentences!
I have tackled mount ironmore. 3 hours later it is now a challenging hill.....
DH got a takeaway on his way home as I was mountaineering (see above).
We are talking but he has already let me down again by forgetting that I am on a day out to London with some Mum's from DS3's class that has been booked since May. He has promised to take DS1 to Dagenham & Redbridge to watch the football. I pointed out to him that he would have to take all of them in the car. He asked why wouldn't I look after them? I was fuming as it's written on the calendar in the kitchen. I've put it in his paper, on-line diary and work diary and I've text messaged him the dates about 20 times.
