How do you know you're having a mid life crisis....is it when it occurs to you that you're never going to actually move very far with your life?

Sounds just about right. Or when you realised that you've messed up a major decision and you can't find a way out. :(

Which two days, and where... if you're in Paris on Wednesday then I could rethink the timing on my work trip and do something interesting instead of just going there and back :D

And I could use some french resources parce-que je is teaching le langue francais to the year 5s...and je ne connais pas tout le francais mais j'avais un peux...

Sadly not - near Boulogne, with 30 Year 8 children. Rather unlikely to get Wednesday off to go to Paris.

My french is hopeless... in theory I should know it, but that 'use it or lose it' saying is right. I can understand a certain amount, I can read it, I can write a little (painfully) but I CANNOT speak it. Same with Italian... and I really need to do something about it...

My mother has just helped me clean the kitchen floor and the living room (moved all the furniture bar one bookcase and a corner cupboard - and those are screwed to the wall so won't be moving until we redecorate...). Hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow and she'll do some gardening while I work. I'm going to drop her off to see her grandson after lunch and work from OH's until my brother & SIL kick her out :D

Bet you have more fun than me though :( I have a full day workshop to run for a group of French and Germans. And I really must do the preparation...
