    (((hugs))) rach

Still avoiding the mowing, BUT the kitchen is looking fairly respectable (which after all the cooking is a minor miracle). Ironing pile has regenerated :( as I've just brought the washing in from the line. Study is a tip, but I don't think I'll get it dealt with today, so i'm just going to have to live with it.

    Need to:

Put away spare linen in spare room, tidy spare room and shut door on it :D My parents are coming to stay on Friday for the wedding (and my mother is staying till Tuesday), but its not too bad.

Clean bath and rehang shower curtain (which is clean, but still has mould spots on it... mind you, it won't be worth replacing if we're going to redo the bathroom this winter... something we need to make a decision on soon)

Remake bed (I'll save turning the mattress till next week after all)

Sort out supper. I have fresh sweetcorn, some baba ganoush I made yesterday and a whole lot of green beans and courgettes that need eating, so I may make some kind of green soup. And I have some left over cupcakes ;) and apricots poached with vanilla. Hopefully I'll be able to create something from that lot...

    Hoover downstairs...

Maybe (only maybe) do the ironing, cut the grass, have a shower and make myself irresistible (the latter is more important if I don't make enough progress on the housework/food ;):D

I still work on that basis after 9 years :p

The chicken I got out of the freezer for dinner is distinctly whiffy so time for an urgent re-think. We have mountains of courgettes but don't think I will get away with courgette frittata and me on a plate.

Good to know it's a tactic I can keep on using ;)

Some of the kitchen done then went to see mum. They had a singer on for them and she enjoyed that.

Have not heard from my friend yet though I know she was going to identify him today. It may have been a tragic accident and nothing untoward but no one knows yet.

Im decluttering a cuppa and just going to chill tonight. Probably have an early night.

    rach Hugs x
    gratefull Congratulations and well done.

Thanks, greenbee and boddy. You would have laughed your heads off if you'd seen it, I'm no flower arranger/grower.

boddy hugs - is it another young person taken from us way too soon?

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
