More cupcakes made. I'm not doing well at getting them dead flat and level with the top of the cupcake case (even though I'm squashing them when they come out). CBA to work out why. I'll make more during the week and hope they come out better.
:rotfl:That's what you meant by using a tray to flatten them - I couldn't work out why you would want to squash them :rotfl:

OK what happened to the sunny day we were promised:(

    List for week

Phone OU - presume they are on holiday today
Phone for doc app - DONE
Find forms to get money from savings acc for roof
Collect all stationery and check how much I have
    before
Wed - go to Staples for printer paper (NB that is all I need)
Sort stuff for sewing class on Thurs

I have woken up with a stinking cold. Ick.

I have also failed miserably with the 'not doing anything' because my OH took the ankle biters out to the shops and I HAD to sweep and mop the floors, wash up, put some wasing in and generally S&S the LR and Kitchen. Still, less to do tomorrow!

My parents have donated a chest freezer in my direction so I can see some batch cooking in my future :)

a bit of that and a bit of being utterly, utterly knackered after a full-on week/weekend!

Loved the poem, valli. I wonder what greenbee will choose, as there were some good suggestions.
Thanks - she'll probably go with the cupcakes though (playing to her strengths UNLESS he's fed up of being a guinea pig :rotfl:)

    valli I love the poem.
Thanks - and I hope your friend and family find some inner strength to cope with all that they are going through right now...I am sure they will appreciate your support (((hugs)))

(I can knock out those poems fairly easily BTW - so if anyone ever wants one just PM details inc name and occasion and anything you would like to refer to in the verse!)

I have washed and ironed and relocated gibble for England this morning. I am training OH NOT to merely say he's from Yorkshire when he's asked if he's Welsh (I wish - the accent! *melt*) but to add that his mum is Welsh...cos I am sick of explaining! :rotfl:
(his name is a Welsh one BTW). I am also training him the ways of the MSE-FORCE. We pootled through insurance checks on line (while he was here before I went on holiday, as I suggested (firmly but gently;)) that he should NOT renew with present insurer. Having checked out some on-line quotes (and some were done through MY quidco;) as they are paid for) he phoned up, got a good deal and paid for a year up front (again my suggestion) I have also suggested he salts away some money each month so he can pay for next year's up-front)
DS is trying to get into my good books so he has just washed his pots (from last night) and made me a :coffee: *faint* because BIL (The facebook phototaker/tagger) is flogging off an x-box as he's upgrading *rolleyes* and I am ploughing my way through myriad e-mails...

Congrats to UROPACHILD for Old Style Thread of the week in the e-mail
Wed - go to Staples for printer paper (NB that is all I need)
but I SO bet that's not ALL you come out with;). I am just SO grateful I have no easily-accessible Staples near me!

    - loving your posts...

(You can select up to 3 posts) then click POST REPLY at the bottom or top of the thread (on the left). Have fun!

Lunch now done and DW been emptied only to refill. Another load of washing out on the line but it's got a bit dull so i don't hold out much hope of it drying. :(

School bags that are being used from last year are now in the washing machine, hopefully they will come out like new. :p

Right front hall next and then utility room.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Hi All

Hope you are all well, I have been so busy with work, life etc, never had a chance to get on for the rest of last week and my SIL (who has her own business) asked me to do her paperwork for her accountant as she is way behind so I have been trying to sort it out for her for her at night when kids are in bed so I have been neglecting my duties :o as a flylady and a mum :o (ever wish you had never opened your mouth).

Anyway, thanks to FCC as per usual, I am in as much as I can, I will do Tuesdays today and give myself a night off from paperwork.

Piggers - Love the name for squeak, my friend has a wee girl called freyja as well (perhaps spelled different)

Welcome newbies and returners, love and hugs etc if you need/want them and special love and hugs as always to Lady-L, Toots & Diva xxx

May try to get on later for a HHC and yes am working, not a bank holiday here and weather is gorgeous so if you are off, enjoy xxx

I don't think I've given him cake yet... maybe I should make an effort :o

and if you can knock those poems out that easily, why aren't you making your fortune with a website selling personalised poems?

Bedding on the line... shower curtain in the WM (I've soaked it in bleach, but I think it may need replacing, as the bottom has to many mould stains on that don't seem to go away).

Suppose I should mow the grass now :( I hate doing it, especially at this time of year when I have to pick up all the apples first AND the grass is really long because we've had so much rain.

Greenbee - Lonely Planet or appropriate travel guide for where you have in mind? Gives you something to wrap.

We have been to the National Forest Woodfair which was interesting for the boys and DH. DW has been on, WM is going on for the second time and I really need to dyson the evil chicken killing monster to see if that would save time on doing the Snug carpet twice a day. Brushing him seems to make no difference at all. Need to do some work ironing for me as well.

Great idea... and gets me out of mowing the grass for a couple of hours... I'm off to town :p

Enjoy the ironing. Keep the dog outside or in a kennel...
