Just dragged the ones out I did for last year and this year.............I'd got a spiral bound notebook and tied some ribbon at the top of the spiral bit then I used that as a bookmark then I used a different ribbon to tie it to stop it coming open -just tied that fairly tight so it just slipped on and off.
Be interesting to see how to do it another way though I think I did one for someone where the ribbon was stuck to the book back and front covers leaving enough to tie it up where it opens (if that makes sense)
Just found another on the shelf I was going to use as a garden journal for this year but used another instead...........thats a solid book as opposed to spiral and haven't a clue how I'll do a bookmark for that unless I stick ribbon to the inside of the back cover..
You can glue the ribbon down the inside of the front cover but have enough ribbon so it comes off the book (to mark the pages) then glue the first sheet of paper to the hard front cover (to cover the glue'd ribbon) if that makes sense.
I glue the ribbon to the front and page hard covers, just midway down the covers so that the majority of the ribbon hangs off the hard covers (horizontally) so when it's closed they ribbons that are hanging off the pages can tie togetheri always glue down the first sheet of paper (it's normally blank anyways) to the hardcover so the recipient doesn't have a book showing visible fabric edges etc.. so when they open it they see the first lined (if it's a lined paper book) as their first page. x

I just use UHU all purpose glue from the poundshop, you could use super glue or pva hunny, as the edges are covered x :TBlogger / Money SaverMake £2022 in 2022 Challenge - Accepted0 -
