hello!
could i join in too please? Last year I made hampers and everyone adored them with a few handmade bits and bobs inside. I also made a christmas eve hamper which went down really well and made the night before christmas something special! This year i'm hoping to make more things rather than buying although I started christmas shopping in the after christmas sales at the end of last year! so have quite a few things for presents already.Petabear loves MSE!0 -

Welcome PetaBear :grouphug:
What are you planning to make this year? we will still be here after christmas so theirs always the planning for next year, that way most of us will have the full year to plan.
Imagine all the lovely printables, ideas and tutorials :T Yaaaaayyyy xxxBlogger / Money SaverMake £2022 in 2022 Challenge - Accepted0 -
:cool:I was thinking last night at stupid o'clock about this idea, so apologies if it is super terrible and non interesting .
However the idea was to do a 'swap' like the ones other blogs/forums etc all hold. Where you send a surprise swap to your swapee and such like.
I've noticed theirs alot of you lovelies, into sewing (all levels) or wanting to try sewing but not sure where to start or where to get patterns etc..
How would you all feel about a pattern swap?
If you have magazines with patterns, vintage patterns, or purchased patterns or even pdf patterns, you could print it or scan/print it,
to send to your swapee, you can include a little handmade item (little heart/magnet etc) or a lovely notecard or nothing, it's up to you..
All you would have to pay is the postage which should be super cheap if sent 2nd class,
If anyone is interested if they could PM me their details and include what sewing level they are (beginner, some experience, alot of experience) and/or if their are any things you do or don't want in the swap (not wanting clothes patterns, only wanting gift type patterns, childrens clothes/toys/embroidery/cross stitch etc....)
If there is interest i will put the interested parties names into a hat and let you know who your swapee is so you can swap addresses etc..
ideally once you recieve your swapee's name if items could be sent within 10 days, that way it's fair to everyone and you know when to expect your surprise swap,
this way i figured it would save us all money with patterns and allow everyone to make something new that maybe able to get used for xmas/birthdays/gifts etc saving money in the long run!!! (patterns can be expensive):T
So i'm in..... anyone else?Blogger / Money SaverMake £2022 in 2022 Challenge - Accepted0 -

hello everyone!
i feel so welcomed!Well today i've made my toffee vodka, i went and got some boxes to do retro sweet boxes, and socks for my sock monkeys which i'll start either later on tonight or tomorrow! I'm going to do a box of hugs aswell and I think i'll do a gingerbread house for my boyfriend again this year, I made him one last year and he adored it, but it took me 12 hours!!!!! But I want to make it into a tradition as it's so lovely and last for ages if you just have a quick nibble here and there with a nice cuppa! i'd love anymore ideas though for him for christmas as I have everyone else more or less sorted but he's just so difficult to buy for! He has everything, i've made him pictures of us to hang on the wall, a book of the first year we started going out when we were 16, CD's, Diarys, teddis, a box inscribed and decorate by me, a bucket list of all the things we'd like to do together before we kick the bucket that we can cross off! So any ideas would be very welcome! I'm getting very excited about christmas now! Hope everyone has has a lovely day and love the pattern swap idea!!!!:T
