Tesco misprice discussion area part 10

Got a 360 today and the GOTW on the poster was weeks old! So got them both and guess what no discount, they did only give the R&R on the game and couldn't be persuaded otherwise, so I guess off to HO in the morning.....(The SEL expired 14/9/06 and was taken down)

Just got back from Tesco bromley by bow....no luck...

Yellow SELs for Xbox 360 and game were still there, but the dummy cases for them and the GOTW poster and "Save £20" SEL had been removed.

...this was despite the fact that a fellow MSEr posted yesterday that the GOTW poster was still up at that specific store.

I think Tesco are silly - they have over 1900 stores across the UK, a large percentage of which will sell consoles. They send the POS for very expensive items and don't even check to make sure that the customer won't be overcharged. Furthermore, as someone else posted, an email was sent to all stores advising them of the problem and it seems most stores only reacted when people starting complaining. Tesco are a victim of their own success, they have dropped the ball big time. R&R should be a way of saying to customers that they have price integrity not a way of overcharging the majority and compensating the minority who notice.

I think I missed something from the OP, we as people who tend to go out looking for misprices, actually make a point of informing Tesco something is up.

Can I remind them that this site is actually about "consumer revenge" and in this case is revenge for overcharges.

They can always get rid of R&R, but what they can't get rid of is the law. Overcharging is illegal, complaining about it is not, getting together and complaining about it is certainly not.

Mobile poster issue..
Right dont know if anyone has remembered the issue about the poster which is out of date. £20 off a handset when bout with £20 airtime" poster out of date on the 17/09/06..bought two different mobiles on 20/9/06. Duty manager wouldnt give a r&r and Adrian russell wouldn't. After leaving the store i went to another branch and he asaid "yes it is a r&r". so next morning spoke to that adrain and he said "nope". few hours later after studying the poster I notice the * is only on the second line which states "£10 off handsets with £10 of airtime" so the top line doesnt have a * so dont think this poster did run out on the 17th as poster was still up for the top line!
I rung Cusotmer service and explained it to a guy called Andrew and he totally agreed with me..even spoke to his section leader and he agreed..said he would give the branch a call and give me a call back.. he rung me back within a minute for more details.Then promised another fone call back within half hour.. 2days later still no call and I cant get hold of this Andrew as there are 13 of them he work there. Here's the twist...I recorded all the calls.. his return call on my mobile and the first call i made to him. where do I stand now?? Got HO saying "No" and got this mysterious Andrew and section leader saying "yes" which i have recorded.

Do you think ive got a chance of get my r&r? Any suggestions??
