Unbeleivable! Adds weight to the theory that they are monitoring this site
I don't know if they check the site nationally, but I have seen staff at 1 store walking round with a list printed off of here checking games, books, etc.
This store used to have rich pickings for R&R, but is almost impossible to fine a misprice there now.0 -

You could phone cs and say you had been overcharged and explain what it said on the poster, even though you couldn't see it.
If anyone asks about the posters you could just say they must have been covered after I bought my console.Do you think this would work?
I don't got the bottle to try.
I think that this would cross the line between legal R&Ring, and trying to obtain goods by deception and so is best avoided.
Remember, most stores have cctv so could prove you are lying!0 -

Where was this old bag? As when I was handing over "me womble wad"
I noticed a gent at CS looking at me with a MSE knowing look!!
Wel Deedee73, if you are a female. you were not the only one getting your wombled points put on your card last night - the wombler I spotted was a mature gentleman, in the prime of life !!
Are we lot sad or what ?
Saturday night, and instead of being out tripping the light fantastic, we are skulking around Tescos, or up into the wee small hours chatting on cyber-space.
Now what is it I tell my kids when they spend hours on MSN?.....Oh thats right,
"Get off that thing, and get a life !"
Trouble is I'm hooked. When I know I'm travel away from home for any reason, I check on the Tesco web-site to find new stores to look in on
I need therapy........and to find the leaflet you lot mention is in the petrol shop showing all the stores, it will save me LOADS of time0 -
After all that's gone on with the consoles I think Tesco should be using their systems to identify anyone who bought a console and GOTW and was overcharged. If they have used a Clubcard then Tesco should contact them and advise them that due to a regretable error they have been overcharged by a significant amount and offer them a full refund. If they have used their credit card without a Clubcard then they should refund them. For those who have paid cash without a Clubcard then they should consider a poster seeking them out.
They way I was treated was a disgrace. In the first store I had to argue with three members of staff and in the second I was asked to leave having been overcharged. Tesco should remember that a criminal offence has been committed - BY THEM. Trading Standards across the country should take action unless Tesco correct the situation themselves. If I get no joy from HO then I will fill out a Small Claims Court summons and we'll see.0 -
Anyone from here go to any of the Tescos in Liverpool?0

Tesco's are not silly if they sell 100 xbox ,ps2 ds lites consoles a week over the uk and then sell 500 in one day and they all get R&R'd dont you think they are going to notice that something is up?
How long do you think it will take for some one at tesco to google "tesco R&R xbox" or some manager who knows about this site and hope to get promoted by grassing this site up, lets face it people we are a victim of our own success0 -
just a thought but...What if we have missed out a huge area on the map that no-one R&R's at??
If everyone posted the areas they cover then we might find a wee pot of gold somewhere :rotfl:
I know that down south there are bound to be overlaps of the stores covered but the further north we go, the less likelyhood there is of that happening.
What do you think?pinkpinkfizz
I :heartpuls MSE0 -

Plenty of Tesco employees / managers are regular and welcome members of this forum.
Also, see my earlier post - I have seen them with a list of misprices from MSE.0 -
I couldn't sleep last night, basically because I was trying to get my head around the whole lack of prices in some stores issue.
Note stupid staff who remove labels from the shelf edge and stickers from products and do not replace them. When there is a big poster saying "From 6.97" above it and there is absolutly no indication that the product would be any other price other than 6.97 then it would be more reasonable for the person to assume it was 6.97 just as much as any other price.
The reason for this is simple. The store is not allowed to charge you a price that has not been indicated (by law) and can only charge you a price that IS indicated. If a store said "everything in this store from 1p" it would not remove the store from its legal obligations, the store still has to inform you of a price by law. Likewise if there was a sign in that store offering a DVD for 20 quid you would not be able to argue you wanted it for 1p as it is clearly labled.
The law is to protect the consumer from false advertising and ambiguous pricing which is done in such way that the consumer has no idea if they have been overcharged or not. The funny thing is, you actually get the feeling that in the cases talked about on here that managers have actually removed the labels for that very reason. To prevent the customer from being aware that they have been overcharged they have removed all price labels. I am not talking about removing special offer labels GOTW etc, I am talking about removing all labels except ambiguous (example "from 6.97") ones.
Surely someone must agree with me that it is clearly an overcharge if the store charges you a price higher than the consumer could reasonably have expected to pay.0 -
Anyone done the Croydon or Surrey tescos?
I'm running out of places to look.“Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers.”
