I have been trying to pluck up the courage to get a console for DS for christmas. Tonight the posters were up - but not for the 360. Got the DS lite and Lego...as per DS poster... got full R&R.:beer:

Can't beleive it!:j

Now all I need is a Tesco that do Raleigh stunt bikes for my DD, and I will be sorted.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Leads me to believe that any manager who goes against what CS at HO tell him is a bit of an idiot as no matter how big his weekly turnover is the law is the law and I think any manager I come across seems to realise pretty quick that I actually want to take them to ASA, what they are doing, overcharging people and misleading ads, is very very wrong. I look at R&R as giving them a chance, letting them off the hook lightly. If anything, they are the ones abusing R&R by offering it to me all the time!

I am getting more and more convinced that most people who do R&R and even managers and staff, do not have a clue what R&R actually is.

My post was made in an attempt to answer the question quoted in it. I was not suggesting they do not care, I was trying to illustrate the "pecking order" between a CS assistant at Dundee and a Store Manager, and why the Store Manager might over rule them or not follow their advise.

You need to do what you feel is appropriate. If one annoymous post on a forum has swayed you, then so be it.

Question fo Constantine.

I bought some pre packed smoked mackrel the other day labeled £7.92. The small SEL was £7.94, and a larger SEL was £4.89.

I went to claim an R&R, and eventually got it, but was told that they 'don't usually R&R on price per kilo pre packed items but they would this time'.

I have not come across this policy elsewhere, but does one actually exist..... i would be worrying to the rest of us if it did.

Watford is a tough store to get large r&r's always a pain !, really surprised you walked away with the goodies without Dundee

This is why you see managers standing up to c/s at h/o but usually once they get the second call from the c/s assistants upline they get the picture and roll over, it's a natural thing they want to be reasoned with first before submission but they always know that submit they must, it's down to the bravado of the individual as to how much they protest.

Depends on the store. And depends on if you mean Managers or Staff.

Not keen on it myself, but if the agenda is followed correctly it does cover off everything...as does the Duty S & L
