Tesco misprice discussion area part 10

i got 2 annuals 2day in store which were 2 for £8 but i was charged £4.95 each i went to cs but was told that the tills had closed cos it was 10pm (2 mins to go actually) I asked if i could go to any store to get my r+r cos the one i was at is quite a distance from where i live and was told i could get my refund at any store...is this correct...dont want to look like a muppet at my local store if its wrong

My mate's boy is in one of those adverts. Ironically enough, it's the same mate who hit a few stores in the SE today. I'd love to be able to watch them all, but there's no way I'm paying £15 for the privilege. By the way, my mate's son is only 13 now and he was about 3 at the time it was filmed. So, the adverts aren't that old.

Just had to post and say that this week went and got some meat, selection boxes and a book. CS refunded and whilst they weren't very happy they were fine about it.

Anyway tonight DH went and got some more meat refunded and cs told him all about this woman who got a big refund and was playing the system and the woman they described was me!!

DH told them I sounded awful and could not understand anyone doing that!!! At least it made me laugh, but I wonder which system I was playing, maybe it's the stopping tesco overcharging customers system, now that is awful

My local tesco's (cromwell road, Kensington) is very efficient

I'm desperate to get an xbox but they've turned their posters around & my other local tesco's don't do any games or consoles :mad:

They didn't have any meat at all either that was priced wrong.

When i was in the games department on friday the security guard was practically inchs away from me & watched me the whole time i was looked at the xbox & games. Maybe i look dodgy & maybe he thought i was gonna smash the glass case & do a runner :laugh:

Does anyone know of any tesco's in west or south london that sell consoles so i can go & have a look.

A friend of mine was in the store, unbeknownst to me (unfortunately) at the same time.

I spoke to hime soon after the incident and he went over to see if the sign was still there, so he could photograph it ( no, not with taxiphil's r&r'ed mobile phone!!)

As I was telling him where abouts it was he said there was an almighty commotion as half a dozen "suits" and staff removed all the posters and labels from around the electrical department, and scanned everything with the hand held scanners. Hee Hee Hee.

Absolutely , i'm surprised you haven't been banned for daring to use Tesco policy and get a refund when you've been overcharged...Shame on you :rolleyes:

I'm sure taxiphil wouldn't really have minded if it was with his phone;)

I was told last week by a manager, with regards to the consoles, that these sort of mistakes very rarely happen in Tesco :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't feel the need to justify what other managers do, 'Taken. As I know you know. Was simply trying to answer the ops question - A question that made no mention of company policy, btw. If it had, my answer would have been very different and would not have included so many maybes

I thought they happen quite often , only the refunds in store were rather rare :rotfl:
