Tesco misprice discussion area part 10

MyUserNamesTaken wrote:None of the above is relevant, Constantine. The policy is quite clear, as was the advert starring Prunella Scales. If an overcharge occurs, the customer is entitled to a full refund. It makes no difference if the customer purposely went into the store looking for the overcharge (a la Prunella Scales in the Tesco Ad publicising this very policy). An overcharge is an overcharge. Tesco is in the wrong, not the customer taking advantage of the policy.
I know its not - Read the first line. How can I know the mind of others? I was simply trying to offer possible explanations.
The advert was a long time ago. I doubt anyone under 30 (?) would remember it...can't even find a copy on the 'net. I tried looking!itscheapandiwantit wrote:Surely regardless of possibly being "someone who is trying to scam" if a customer takes up an offer for sale of say an xbox and game - save £20, and pays for it, the customer is reasonably entitled to the £20 discount that is offered
If a manager has a big issue about it then make sure that the store doesn't make the offer available
Not if that is the mind talk of the manager dealing with you, it becomes very relevent to how you are dealt with.
Like I say - I do not know as it aint me. Just trying to give you an alternative viewpoint. Take it or leave it.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
Blooming heck.....Am I getting Tescoitis.....or have I actually just seen an advert on TV saying "Just Cause is the XBOX game to own"0

I don't think this particular manager had a very large mind :rotfl:0 -
Well, I'm in retail myself and can see both sides' point of view.
My store has a "no quibble" policy. We never argue.
We don't do RnR, either.0 -

Probably very wise seeing as you are on here0 -

Would I be happy if my child turned out to be like me?
If your answer to both is yes, it makes no matter if you are fat or thin, black, white or brown, short or tall, good looking or ugly, young or old, understand this and you will never lack the confidence to deal with others on equal terms irrespective of whether or not they believe you to be equal. People can only intimidate or discriminate against them if you let them by reacting to it, no reaction, no reward, no acknowledgement, act like you never heard the remark be oblivious and requests your rights as if they were a mantra.
thanks for your reply as well! I mean sometimes you do find difficulties when your first lang. is not english and you are being in an englsih country, especially when you are scare. But I will think after this experience and all the support from you guys, we will built up some confidence to deal with problems. I am very glad to see all these replies! (and the teaching bits)0 -

Someone PM'd me a link the other day that bypassed the £15 joining fee to the site...I'll try and find it if you want to see it.....or the OP might read this...0 -
I had a similar experience to many today.
Bought xbox and Game of the Week - no discount.
There was the chart poster with Just Cause ( which I bought) as GOTW
A chart poster with Lego Star Wars as GOTW
and a smaller SEL with SAVE £20 when you buy a xbox or ???? console and GOTW.
Three misprices in one!
The manager refused the r&r offering free game.
I refused and asked for a photocopy of the SEL. He refused.
So now I have no evidence of the chart or label, how do I stand when I ring HO? - cross-legged isn't a good answer to the question by the way!!!!!!
Has anyone else come across the smaller 3in x 2in label and if so do you have a photo of it please.
Thanks.0 -

It is definitely " the xbox game to own " if you find a poster offering it as game of the week :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Oh, it's there, although you would need to spend £15 +VAT to actually see it. :rolleyes:I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0
