    Hi

has anyone seen a psp r&r in the midlands area, all my local ones have taken the offer down!

    cheers
I wouldn't worry too much as the staff can't seem to tell the difference between a pos sign and a yo-yo :rotfl:

I wonder if the store Joto went to has cottoned on to the problem, could they have copied the barcode from 'Godfather' on to all the security boxes for 'Just Cause'? This would make the offer work wouldn't it?

The only other possibility is maybe Joto went to a Metro (central updates done separately) and everyone else went to a bigger store or Extra? Joto what size store was it, and did you notice any extra barcode on the security box (or indeed has the barcode on the game you've got been covered with another one?).

I can't see how else this has happened.

Hi Sorry for the delay. It wasn't a metro. I don't know whether it was an extra,it was a large store. I don't have any idea regarding the bar code. I just picked up the box.

If stores can over ride the system then it does beggar the question why all the stores haven't put their house in order.

can anybody offer advice im new to this R&R policy
bought some bob the builder toys ,there was big yellow signs on shelf saying "2 bob the builder toys for £8.95" so I picked 6 up for little un for xmas when i got through till I noticed that only discount had come of 2 of them

this is where i am confused as it was after 10 pm the cs desk was closed so i told a member of staff and she came and looked at fixture with me and agreed I had been overcharged so she got manager who said I hadn't been overcharged as it was only the toys priced 5.25

on small sel it named each toy some where yellow sel which said eg scambler 2 for 8.95 or £5.25 each
and on some the white sel said talking loft 8.92 each (sorry confusing )

my question is ,is this a R&R as i never took notice of the small sel as the big yellow sign said "bob the builder toys 2 for £8.95" and not all 5.25 bob
the bulder toys 2 for £8.95

Going by what you say my answer would be yes, the sign was ambiguous in that it is reasonable to expect to pick up any bob the builder toy based on having seen that sign only.

Is there such a thing as a smart manager?

    Quick question..

Why would a store manager choose to ignore HO CS orders?

Are they not leaving themselves open to disciplinary action?

    Just a thought?

That depends - do you mean a Store Manager or a Manager within a Store?

A Store Manager is responsible for a £1m/week business and to be frank, your average bod at CS Dundee does not come close to telling him what to do if he does not like it. What disciplinary action?

    Hi Guys,

I am looking for some advice. I purchased a PSP console and the so called game of the week from a store this evening. the notice stated "game of the week - Tekken.....Save £10 when purchased with a PSP console".

I purchased both of these and the £10 did not come off. I therefore went to CS to r+r. The manager refused and just offered me the game as an R+R. Is this correct? the way that I see it is that it is a multisaver item. I.e - If I purchased two packs of sausages and it was two packs for a fiver and I was overcharged then I would get a full R+R. Am I in the wrong?

I got a full refund on both the console and the game in the end as the manager would not back down but I do still have the receipt. Can anyone give me some advice who may have had a similar issue before?

    Thanks in advance.....

I was in the same situation as you but my manager agreed an r&r and after I had signed the reciept he took the game and console away.He said I was being greedy not accepting the refund on the game and there was no way I was getting them both for free.I took ben's advice and phoned head office the following day and the same afternoon Kevin Kelly phoned me back and asked the managers name.Five mins later he phoned again and told me there was a Psp and a Tekken game waiting for me at the cs desk in my local Tesco.

Just phone head office on Monday and tell them you felt intimidated by the behaviour of the staff member and embarassed because customers were looking at you like you were a thief. You just took your refund and ran home and cried yourself to sleep(maybe not that far but you get my jist). You should have your console and game by Monday night.
  • Oh, I agree. Don't think the OP said that she was subjected to any sort of racial abuse. She said she felt uncomfortable and nervous due to not being English and being young. This is something the OP really does not need to worry about for the reasons I gave - none of it is relevant.

Yes, that absoultely what i meant! But I did live in a racial abuse area, some people round here is very rude with those who are not English, but I am sure the Tesco's manger is not one of them!

Got a full R+R of £209.94 on a PSP (white) and Tekken today. First of all, many thanks to all on here who've provided the relevant info over the last 48 hours.

It was the standard "you're only entitled to the £10 difference" load of cr*p, followed by me phoning Dundee, Dundee phoning the store, the store arguing with Dundee, being left standing there for 30 minutes while the manager disappeared, etc.

The experience was truly awful and I was in the store for nearly 90 minutes, but eventually my perseverance paid off. I was dealt with by a caveman-like skinhead creature on the CS desk who was hostile, lied repeatedly, swore at me, treated me like a criminal, demanded my name and address and then said he would circulate my details and my description to all stores in the area, and tell them to watch out for me. I only dealt with the store manager very briefly but he was also a vile thug who was extremely rude to me, and had an overpowering stench of BO and bad breath (or maybe it was faeces, I wasn't sure). I was almost heaving from the smell at one point.

When the caveman said "I'll be watching you if you ever come in here again", I said "Don't waste time watching me, watch the prices in your store!". He then turned around and said to a colleague under his breath: "I'm going to deck this tw*t in a minute".

A typical shopper would have been reduced to tears by what I had to endure today. It was absolutely disgusting. It's only because I'm experienced at R+Ring and have built up my self-confidence, thanks in part to this wonderful forum, that I managed not to fall apart.

However, the lady at Dundee that I spoke to, Lynne Devlin, was superb. She said immediately that I was entitled to full R+R, tackled the matter quickly and efficiently, and stood up to the lies of the thugs in the store.
