Tesco misprice discussion area part 10

I have bought the psp console with the 2 games which was £219.99 and the gotw tekken and the £10.00 discount did not come off, do you think I will have any joy with HO on Monday to get a refund, as I have been told I should have bought the psp base unit.

Popped into a local tesco today, and they had no posters up, but both Just Cause AND The Godfather with a GOTW display next to them...decided against it as I couldn't remember which was the real GOTW.

After reading about the glitch with the xbox 360 and Just Cause GOTW (Many thanks to OP) I thought I would go and have a look.
The DS,PSP and PS2 charts and offers were covered in paper btw
I bought the game and console and game and no discount came off.
The nice cs lady was about to refund the full amount when someone came over and said the discount was on the game only and offered it to me a refund on the game only. I refused and asked to speak to the manager she said we know its an overcharge but the amount is "too much" so she offered me a refund of the game and £20 so I said I would take it up with HO.
I phoned up and they said i will need to speak to Kevin Perry or Joanne Leith on Monday.
What do i need to say to them and will they definetley agree?

did it stipulate which PSP ?

As long as the POS said Save £10 when you buy PSP or DS & Game of the Week, you'll get a refund. Explain that the store had Tekken as the GOTW. Call CS on Monday and tell them what happened. The base pack doesn't take the discount off, either.

They will agree that it was an overcharge. It's Kevin Kelly, by the way.. Just explain that you bought the GOTW and the Console and no discount came off. The store was going to refund the full amount, then changed its mind and said the refund was on the game only. They then offered you the game for free, which you refused, as the POS clearly states the discount is only available when you buy both items, thus you have been overcharged on both. They'll phone the store and sort it out for you.



I have a feeling Joanne and Kevin are going to be very busy on Monday.

I forgot to mention, when I went to pick up/pay for the xbox at CS desk I showed the girl my receipt for the game and asked if she needed to see that too, she just looked at it and wandered off.

I'm really in two minds what to do on this...

Right for Anybody In EAST LONDON!!

In the store they have no xbox posters up..but they do have the Top Games poster up..this has the offer at the bottom, £20 off with GOTW JUST CAUSE, so if you dont live too far and want an Xbox get down there!!! I dont want to do it as its my Local BTW the Games are on display too, as I saw someone buying one( the game)

The receipt for the game won't show much other than "Xbox 360 game". It doesn't specify which game you bought, so the assistant won't know that you were meant to get a discount. Unfortunately, due to the two transaction thing, you are slightly stuck. Not sure what I would do in this situation, as you weren't able to buy both in one transaction.
