Take a chance, nothing ventured nothing gained.
Glitches are glitches, you may be lucky, you may have embarassingly left your wallet in the car!
Er, ok... not dumb though thanks, just having a bit of a laugh with the potential excitement... It's a girlie thing0 -
Can I bump the question about the PS2 GOTW? Has anyone tried this week's game (tiger woods 2007) with PS2 black / silver.
I suppose I should just try it shouldn't I?0 -

I shop for work in Tesco every day so last night I was having a read through here and thought i would keep an eye on all future bills. This morning I saw a yellow label for Gingsters pasties at 80p. I buy these most days as I run a canteen so I picked up 4 (should have gone for more) sure enough when i checked the bill they were charged at normal price of £1.03.
Off I went to get my refund, shame it was for work and they mark it on receipt. CS woman came with me and straight away removed the label.
So thanks for that and you can be sure I will be keeping an eye out from now on.0 -

What is more concerning than that is your web browser doesn't seem to be able to look at previous posts on this thread.
Even more concerning than that is my apparent sarcasm and lack of helpfull behaviour
Seriously though, take a look back on this thread a bit and you will see the answer is....

I'm not being paranoid about being 'tracked' by tesco but the following incident today was interesting !
I was getting an R&r on some braiing steak today - no hassle, very friendly chatty staff joking about how they'd go and look for some too. I'd paid cash and hadn't used my Clubcard and she gave me back my £9 odd and then said she just needed a few details. First thing she asked for was my Clubcard number. I said I'd left it at home and certainly couldn't remember it - thats why it didn't show on the receipt. She looked flummoxed (as did her mate) and said 'but we've got to have the number!' I said that some people didn't have Clubcards anyway and asked what theat had to do with the fact that I'd been getting a refund on an overcharge.
She said 'ITS TO TRY AND STOP FRAUD' ! I asked what she meant and she gave me a long spiel about people who 'make a business out of claiming refunds on stuff and then selling it all on to make a profit'. She also said that some nasty people find a misprice and then go all round the other stores buying up all the stock and getting it for free. I promise you I didn't even blush as I expressed my horror and amazement.
I said that an overcharge is an overcharge and did she mean that if I came in again I'd be in the poop - also said that I shall keep a good look out now you've explained how it works. She laughed and then said 'No, you're OK, its mainly directed at Tesco staff who find out about these overcharges from customers and then go all round the other stores buying the stuff themselves.'
Although they were all lovely and friendly towards me I could sense that they were pretty pee'd off about this - I guess that staff have been accused directly or indirectly of doing this and they don't like the critisism. It tieds in with the nice young man who gave me my Xbox refund with a genuine smile and 'congratulations, do you think I could get one if I went round some of our other stores?' It did occur to me then that staff could just as well take advantage of this (or get family/friends to do it for them) as we can.
Anyway, from what she said it does appear that tesco are looking rather more closely than I would like at our clubcard details. I've used mine up till now cos I don't get a massive amount and its all legit so I felt I had nothing to hide but I won't be using it in the future for R&Rs.ELITE 5:2

Same here, both scanners in my store have been unusable for days. Complaining is a waste of time. The only way to check a price is really to ask at CS. They would just love us if we showed up at CS with a trolley load and asked to check the price of everything!

I overheard a Tesco Personnel Officer on the shop floor the other day talking to another member of staff. Didn't catch the beginning of the conversation but my ears pricked up when I heard her referring to 'insider knowledge' and that 'it amounted to gross misconduct'. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I'm sure she was referring to RnRs. If I worked for Tesco I'd be keeping a low profile right now0
