That's right I'm afraid, but if you read Ben's posts he seeks redress in the form of points.
What was the product?0 -
So I rang trading standards just to make sure, they are now called Consumer Direct. They agreed with HO but said that if the two prices were still there in two days they would investigate.
That sounds like a load of rubbish to me.I think I would call TS/CD back and speak to someone with a bit more knowledge.
I'm sure someone with more legal knowledge will advise. I know I have rang T/s and been given the wrong advise before someone else stepped in.
What happens when all the meat with stickers is sold and only the higher priced pkts are left. The SEL clearly gives a lower price and that is what you would expect to pay, which is why when the price is changed the odd Tesco  re labels their meat with a yellow sticker.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -
Hi does anyone know if the discount of £20 comes of the PS2, my local store still has the yellow SEL with £20 off the GOTW when bought with Xbox/PS2...
Best bit is they have a poster with the GOTW for the PS2 Picture of Super Bikes but the wording states the GOTW is Tiger Woods...?
I would think only one of these will work but which one....I'm new, but keen:j0 -
I ventured to a different Tesco today and had a look...the poster for the Xbox was missing, just a blank space on the display where it would have been. The wording for the DS was making it clear that it was the GOTW that was discounted, and the GOTW poster for the PSP made no mention of any discount.
What made me giggle though, despite losing out, was I heard a couple of staff members talking about it, in terms of shock and horror, and one of them even said "I told her it's the price it goes through the till at!" I suspect that some lucky sod got to Handforth Dean and had some success despite that persons ignorance, so well done to them!0 -
I asked in my local Tesco today (Cardiff, the big Tesco Extra) and they said they didn't have any aisle scanners and that there was no way to check the price of a product without putting it through a till. Is there any other way to tell whether the prices on labels are right?0
