Seems strange that there's been no word on why it was closed, don't you think? If they HAVE had a hand in closing the thread, I think it will eventually get in the press, you know (which wouldn't be good for Tesco IMHO). Still not convinced Tesco would do summat like that, but who knows these days?

I questioned it because there are two gigapaks, one with just the 1 GB card for £209 and one with 1 GB Card + two games (everybodys golf and something else) for £219.

Did/Does the offer come off correctly for both of them? The store I went to had stock of the £219 one but not of the £209 one.

Technically not illegal however if it can be shown that we (meaning me and you) are commiting fraud when we do an R&R then it puts the site in a possition of aiding and abetting crime.

The question lies on if we are doing anything wrong when we spot something that is priced up wrong, searching for things that we know "may" be priced up incorrectly. I do not think we are. However if someone has managed to have a conversation about fraudulant activity (IE manipulating price labels) then it could be shown that the person intended to commit fraud. To my knowledge no conversation of this manner has taken place and if it has then it has been removed or repremanded.

The question of is the sie doing wrong even though not illegal I suppose rests on,

Of course it is. As far as R&R policy goes it is far far far (imaging that word repeated several thousand times to justify its being) far far more beneficial to Tesco than it is to an R&Rer. Tesco can view this "publicy available private site" just as easily as any other individual and can, infact should, use it to stop over priced goods from being sold.

If anything, the fact the thread exists, means that Tesco are not acting on something in the public domain, which in turn makes their overpricing even more disgusting and wrong.

So no, I do not belive Tesco would be right in asking for the thread to be stopped, infact it would be downright stupid as many staff can use the info where as if we all ran underground they could not.

I am sure Joe Public has the right to say when he has been overcharged.

I am sure someone on the forum team will be along shortly to explain the mistake in closing the last one with no notice as to why. Especially when it seemed to be providing a valuable service to tesco staff in trying to keep their misprices down and giving them a focused point to come and listen to lots of people who are only to happy to check their pricing integrity out for them

This was posted a year ago on the internet and back then they were wondering how long before the media picked up the story about misprices. Doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon.

I wonder if the press would actually be interested in it anyway?
