Thanks for the link, but I'm not really interested in bargains - I just want to cost tesco money. =]

I'm sure there are others who'll find it useful though.

I'd also recommend people get a decent newsreader to view usenet with rather than using google. Much easier on the eyes, easier to navigate and no adverts to annoy you.

Are you talking about the Misprices only thread?

It worked for me just now.

You can read the other thread still, but it's closed to new posts. Just checked and it's still like that.

You could read thousands of (text) groups and archive all posts and it would barely take a couple of hundred meg of HD space.

Obviously if you use binary groups to download things then you are going to need more space, but just to read text only groups an ancient pentium 1 pc with a 4gig hard drive in would last you forever.

I have noticed in one Tescos that I went in that all the yellow "Buy a PSP or DS console and GOTW Get £10 off" and "Buy a XBOX 360 or PS2 and GOTW get £20 off" had gone.

The posters for the PSP (no consoles left though), DS and PS2 where still there, but the wording on the poster next to the game of the week said "Save £10 when bought with a PSP console".

This change in wording would look like they could only have to give a refund on the game as it applies a discount on the game and not the whole bundle. Looks like tescos are trying to stop giving away consoles.

Another store had removed every poster and offer everywhere.

Does anyone know if the XBOX 360 and Just Cause still doesn't work assuming you can find a poster. And also whether the Giga Pak PSP + Two Games (£219) + GOTW triggers the discount as someone asked a few posts ago.

Hi all, I've read through most of these threads, but need to ask a question. In my local Tesco they've got a PSP giga pack with two game and Tekken as GOTW (could not see any value packs at all), will the R&R work with this? I'll feel braver if there's been a success story on this combo. Thanks:D

I THINK the discount comes off with this combination (one of my local stores has handwritten 'Gigapack only' on the PSP offer poster, in the last few days).

I KNOW that if you buy Nintendo DS Lite with the correct GOTW then the discount comes off (tried it 2 days ago). I have feeling that the Nintendo glitch is no longer there, nor is the xbox or PS2 glitch, only the PSP at present.

Am I right everyone who knows?

Final point on the Doritos, why buy only 2 packs? Make sure you buy the '2 for £2' 200g ones (larger packs have a 3 for £2 offer or something different). I bought five BBQ and one other flavour, no discount yesterday.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I bought a xbox360 (white box) + GOTW and the discount came off :(
I'll be taking it back at the weekend :)

I tried the psp giga pack (with 2 games) + GOTW the other day and again the discount came off. I didnt buy it.

hopefully things will change when they use a new GOTW.
  • Am i right in saying that the discount doesnt come off the psp if the sel is white? if its yellow then the discount does come off?

    thanks

    I bought a PSP+GOTW and a DS+GOTW and got a full refund from HO.

My argument is that the poster dosent say what the discount applies to.
There is no small print stating "£10 discount applies only to the game"
