well thats yasmin torn to shreds, now lets start on the next newbie, the general opinion on here seems to be in favour of "the more the merrier" but when more turn up its then those same people that make the sarcastic comments and make the newbies want to leave again.
  • Newbies are far more than welcome.

Consistantly stupid people who won't do anything for themselves or anybody else, even when everybody tries many many times to help them, aren't.

  • A little bit off topic but,
I just had a call from security at Amex!

I pooped myself, they were checking I had my card in my possesion as it had been used a total of 7 times in various Tesco stores over the weekend, all over South East Wales!!!

LOL I wanted to tell her, but said I had a compulsion disorder that made me have to do my shopping a bit of a time in different stores!
"Oh" she said! And left it at that! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Heh, I had this the other week when my CC card company called me asking if everything was OK with my card as they have seen suspicious activity. What suspicious activity?

That everytime I buy something from Tescos, theres an immediate refund from them straight afterwards :rotfl:

    Any help?

My local has poster up for Nintendo DS + GOTW as Lego star wars. I bought the black DS + GOTW and discount came off. Thankfully they had none in stock, so I got a refund as "my nephew said he definitely wants a black one", but can't try the other 2 colours without looking too much like I'm buying to RnR. So which one should I buy to get the RnR- the silver or the white? Or have other people tried both these colours and the discount applies to both?

If the discount applies to both DS colours, I'll go back and get a tesco mobile instead as the £10 off £50 phones poster still up.

Anyone tried and know if discount comes off silver or white DS? Am off shopping this afternoon if you've had an r+rd silver or white ds, pls let me know.
  • I think the only console that the discount still does not work for, is the PSP+gotw (base packs only, in black or white with Tekken. Gigapacks go through correctly with the discount)

If you were to get a white DS and perhaps game of the week (which is starwars lego) for the Advance (as opposed to DS) you 'might' find the £10 discount doesn't come off. lol! :D
  • I`ve been quite for a while, so please excuse me while I get a few subjects off my chest :

Yasmin - you are obviously either a wind up merchant or a very amatuerish (wanna be) Tesco spy.

If not, maybe you could post details of any success you have in the future - as there are (apparently) real life Tesco eyes on this site that would love to know exactly what you are up to.

And while on the subject of paranoia - why do some posters think Te$co needs to look at this site for info on how much they are being bled dry on the console saga ? They will have all the details they could possibly need sent through by each store when it accounts for the refund, surely ?

I believe KK and his co-workers in Dundee (Hi guys - thanks for the consoles !) are mainly employed to keep an eye out for serial R + Rers - it wouldnt take much effort to search the data they are recording via our phone calls and look for multiple efforts from the same post code, name or phone number ? So, as stated before, be prepared with a bogus name and a genuine (but not your own) address. Cant think of a way around them phoning you back tho, as I only have two phone numbers I can be reached on (which have both been used already) - maybe I should look for a Tesco mobile to R + R for this ?

Personally I have no qualms about Dundee noticing how many R+R's I've had. What am I doing wrong? Absolutely nothing! It's not a reflection on me, it's a reflection on Tesco - they clearly have many pricing problems in many stores. This is something they should be embarrassed about. They should be giving me an explanation of why illegal overcharging is so widespread within their company!
