  • Just a quick thanks to all of you! I just had a call from Kevin Kelly to tell me that my refund for the overcharge of the Xbox would be waiting for me at the store!:j

I had been reading the thread but thought taht I was way too late to find a shop which would still have the posters up. After some encouragement fromthis board and a pointer into the right area, I packed hubby and baby in the car on Sunday morning and we went on a drive around a few Tescos. We spend about 4 hours, had a great laugh and got an Xbox.

    Thanx a million!

I'm on a quest now to find to find my first own R&R to post it on here! Wish me luck!

If you were to get a white DS and perhaps game of the week (which is starwars lego) for the Advance (as opposed to DS) you 'might' find the £10 discount doesn't come off. lol! :D

Store only sells DSs. No other consoles at all. It's a local store for local people.

I love it as they never check anything like prices as their shoppers find the writing too small to read on the receipt and they can't remember what the price should have ben anyway.

Do you mean it's like an Express or a Metro? I didn't know they did consoles. I have a Metro on the road I live in and avoided it on purpose. Damn i'm going to start checking those and the garages now too lol!

The DS deal is usually available when getting the game of the week. So they'd need to sell games also for it to work.

    Cheers.

I was defending Yasmin sarcastically to make a point about double standards. The woman wanted an easy ride after many of us spent the weekend trawling from store to store, I'm not surprised that she was torn to shreds.

Obviously my selfish, elitist, condescending reason for being in this forum (to make the most of Tescos over generous r&r policy) is different to that of many. When the r&r policy is ended - probably sooner rather than later - then it will be clear from how many remain behind in the forum, who those are that are here for the money compared to those that are really here to downfall the Tesco empire.

In the meantime however, I'll be glad and grateful for the misprices and fill my boots whilst it's possible to.
  • My local Metro sells consoles and games. They haven't had the POS up in weeks.

Just a small supermarket in town centre, not express or metro.

they do sell games, just not many consoles as i guess there's no market for them in an older town

Personally I have no qualms about Dundee noticing how many R+R's I've had. What am I doing wrong? Absolutely nothing! It's not a reflection on me, it's a reflection on Tesco - they clearly have many pricing problems in many stores. This is something they should be embarrassed about. They should be giving me an explanation of why illegal overcharging is so widespread within their company!

    Point taken taxiphil (and thanked)

A question tho - have they (Dundee) ever questioned you about repeat R + Rs ? Yes, I know THEY are at fault, but havent they tried to make YOU feel like you are abusing their system ? (and potentially defrauding them by multiple R + Rs - this is my fear and reason for sudden multiple personality disorder)

Pudding, as you may have noticed, this is Discussion thread 10. We've had 9 previous threads before this, spanning back more than a year. Even when these threads first started, there was widespread talk of Tesco pulling the policy. It still hasn't happened and won't be happening any time soon. If you read back, you'll see one of the reasons why the policy exists in the first place is to keep TS off Tesco's back when it became blatantly apparent just how bad Tesco is when it comes to overcharges. The R&R policy benefits Tesco as well as those keen-eyed customers who spot they've been overcharged.

Puddings...it does get very boring after a while.. The thrill of the chase disappears after a couple of months when you realise you've spent double the amount of time in tesco, you come out with nothing besides some scraggy meat, and you then watch all the people passing through the tills who are being overcharged and don't know about it. 18 months on, I still appreciate the help Ben500 and others gave me when i first started, which is why is still contribute to this thread with a view to helping others in the same way i was helped.

The more people who rnr means more incentive for tesco to get their pricing correct for every shopper who passes through their doors, so the more the merrier i say.

CS told me that it didn't matter how many refunds you have had in the past, as it's not you who is doing something wrong - it's the store.
