but I got myself a psp and tekkan!
When I got my R&R today I'd just got out of the dentist after having root canal treatment so my face was sore and I was shaking too - couldn't work out if it was the anaesthetic or the fear of not getting my R&R!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

fuzzgun19 wrote:Went into my local T's. Picked 2 'Finest scottish minced beef' SEL £1.97, Price on pack £2.15.
Scanned at £2.15 each.
Went to CS and the grumpy assistant says "well it does say £2.15 on the packs.."
I say.. it says £1.97 on the label, I didnt see that on the packs.
She offered to refund my £4.30, but she kept the mince
I said "Maybe you should remove the cheaper label then" she says she will look.
I go in later that day, cheaper label still there.
So much for r&r.
These went through at 2 for £3.50 for me, so I didnt get the R&R eventhough a £1.97 SEL was there. I was being too greedy....Amazon Sellers Club Member Number 52

From peoples experience, what's the best number to ring to try and get an R&R on the xbox360 I was overcharged on?0

LOL
I always seem to get the shakes more at the checkout, fear of them noticing the overcharge I think.
You have to wonder about the staff that swipe things through with a bloody great big £13.97 sticker on it then see the total price comes to over £20 when you buy a bottle of coke too!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
biglugs wrote:I bought these at about 11:50 and got my refund at about 12:10. The SEL £10 off label expires on 28/9 and the GOTW poster says week commencing 22/9 so both are correct.
I bought the value pack PSP which is £179.97 and Tekken which is £29.97. All of these SHOULD be Ok for the discount, and both had WHITE labels if that is any use to people (although both XBox SELs were yellow).
My first every R&R and it's worth every bit of the effort (made sure I wore my smartest business suit and played it completely straight).
Thanks biglugs, i'm going to try it....hope it's still wrong......wish me luck:T I'm actually very nervous......will let you know about the restults.....0 -

It's the white value pack or the £149 base black pack.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Ok, I've been this afternoon/evening to my local Tesco (Tesco Extra in Wath-Upon-Dearne). Had a scout around the entertainment section (upstairs, well, up the travelator/escalator thingys) and saw the posters with the offer on, but the offer bit had a piece of white card covering it. I checked the xbox 360 posters, and the ps2's and DS', all covered.
I thought it was yet another bargain I'd missed, only to walk off (I was actually puzzled as to where the console boxes were, as they were nowhere to be seen) and see the shelves that had the console display cases on, and sure enough, here is what I saw:
So, I picked one of the boxes up, and headed back to the games, where Tekkan, and another game (sorry folks, can't remember, I was too excited!) were at the top with big "game of the week" boxes in between the pairs of each game (i.e TEKKAN *GOTW* TEKKAN | OTHERGAME *GOTW* OTHERGAME) and picked a Tekkan up.
I went to the till, sure enough, it didn't knock the money off, although I nearly filled my pants when she said "right, I'll just be a second...", although a sigh of relief was breathed when she finished the sentance with "...I need to just nip in this cupboard behind me for your PSP.".I paid, in cash (didn't want the scanario of them refunding only a tenner to my credit/debit card and saying that that is what I'd agreed). I then collected my schools vouchers (given to a kid outside) and the "5p off per litres of petrol" voucher, and went down the travelator and out of the store.
I stopped, just outside the door (to make it look genuine) and looked at my receipt. Oh gosh, I'd been overcharged....shock horror....how dare they?!
I went back inside, went to the CS desk, and told the lady on there.
It went a little like this...Me: "I think I've been overcharged by a tenner for these".
CS Desk: "Oh, ok, well I'll go upstairs and have a look and if you have I'll take you to the desk up there, just wait here a moment".
[going up the travelator]
Me: [showing her my phone - a possibly stupid move, but didn't think it was stupid until I'd got out of the store] "Here, this is the label" [shows her the two pictures above].
CSD: "Right, show me".
Me: [points to the game of the week stand, and then the the console stand with the big yellow SEL on it].
CSD: [Picks up the SEL]
The upstairs entertainment desk was busy so we head back downstairs, well, downtravelator.
CSD: "Right I'll have to get my manager to authorise this because its quite a big misprice". [she calls for a manager, manager comes over]
Manager: "Oh no, I've been on and off the phone to Head Office loads over the last few days about these. I went round earlier and covered or removed the POS that had these on, FMC (files maintainence control I think this stands for. I think they kinda do the price integrity stuff too) must have put this back on, thinking it was missing. We've been having loads of problems with them not taking the discount off, just like this. Yes, just refund it [she says to the CS Lady]. Looks like you've got yourself a bargain!"
Me: [beginning to take the p**s a bit] "Hu? What do you mean?....Oh yes, you refund me and I get to kep the goods, that's your policy isn't it?!....Great! *smiles* "
After a bit of messing about...
CSD: "Right, so thats a refund of £149.97..."
Me: "Whoa, no it isn't, its just under £180.00"
CSD: "No, its just the console that was discounted, not the game".
Me: "No, its sold as a bundle" [me thinking at this moment in time, oh bu***r, what if she comes back and says I'm not getting a penny. You should have taken the £149.97 and walked you numpty!]
CSD: "Hmmm...I think you might be right, I think I may have misread the SEL, let me get my manager back."
[She calls for manager, but manager was still on shop floor, so she goes to look for her. Ten minutes later (I kid you not), CSD returns...]
CSD: "Sorry to keep you waiting all that time. Yes, you were right, I did misread the SEL as we thought I had, yes you get the full amount of £179.94 back"
Me: "Ok, thanks" [gives her 6pence.
CSD: "Right, there you go, sorry once again for over charging you and keeping you waiting" [hands me £180.00.
Me: "Do you want these schools vouchers back and the petrol voucher back? Afterall, I've not really bought anything..."
CSD: "No, you keep those. Afterall, it's not your fault we've overcharged you".
Me: "Ok, thanks a lot, bye".
CSD: "No, thank YOU, and sorry once again about all this hassle and waiting".
OMG!
So, off I went, outside. Gave a passing kid the wad of sports for schools vouchers, which was good because he had the uniform on of my old school.
So, thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks to the person who posted this, but I've no idea who you are because I can't find the original post with this offer in, and also thanks to all those who answered my questions over the last few days about R&Ring.

I cannot praise the manager and the customer service desk lady enough, they were fantastic, the manager didn't even hesitate to tell the cs lady to refund it, and the cs desk lady even apologised for thinking it was only the console that she should have refunded.
I could have kissed her as she handed me the money and the bag!!!0
