Tesco misprice discussion area part 10

Went into my local T's. Picked 2 'Finest scottish minced beef' SEL £1.97, Price on pack £2.15.
Scanned at £2.15 each.

Went to CS and the grumpy assistant says "well it does say £2.15 on the packs.."

I say.. it says £1.97 on the label, I didnt see that on the packs.

She offered to refund my £4.30, but she kept the mince

I said "Maybe you should remove the cheaper label then" she says she will look.

I go in later that day, cheaper label still there.

So much for r&r.

There is one particular CS assistant in Llantrisant you have to look out for - even the staff say what an ogre she is. Plus the Non-Food Trading Manager (won't post his name) will not back down on any r&r when he is called. Consider that a challenge to anyone passing this store - I would love for someone to get a real biggie here.

I think all those in posession of an xbox that wasnt refunded by the store could now be banned fromthe store, now that could be a problem for some people especaily if they went to their local store. opps.

yep deffinatly could be banned I didnt imply that you will be banned, some have received a refund without a ban others havnt.

As for complaining it is pointless complaining if you do it to the wrong people, trading standards arnt interested in people being banned from a store or wether tesco give you an r+R, but will be interested in the store with misleading pricing and promotional material.

The policy boards again not TS's problem that is an advertising agencys issue not sticking to it will be for them to sort out.

I have contacted TS over pretty much every overcharge I have received from tesco if I have had an r+r or not (my silence can't be bought) and I know they have been in to the stores about my complaints. I sent an email to the correct TS office over the xbox yesterday who pointed me to http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/ to make the complaint and I have received a reply telling me they have forwarded it to the TS office I sent the email to the first time.

Who knows what will happen over this. but I expect Tesco to rethink a few things, the policy? staff training proberbly, removal of staff deffinatly if they created the offers and said yes to the posters.

cheekymole I would hope that whoever issues you with the ban put the real reason in the letter I wouldnt be happy with abuseing our policy if that is the reason I would want to know what they class as abuse.

ohh and the guy with his new religion please dont go down the route claiming racism over a religion that your the only practicing member is as bad as a white person coming out with "is it becasue I is black" in my best Ali G / Richard Madley impresion.

Today, went into the Bay to get a paper, picked up 2 milkybars for the kiddies SEL priced 15p, they went through at 33p each. As it is an express they do not have a CS so asked to see the Manager. The girl on the till said she could deal with my overcharge and tried to refund the difference. I pointed out that the SEL clearly showed 15p and that tesco policy is to refund and retain. She stated that it was not applicable to tesco Express. I politely stated no that was incorrect so she called the Manager, he checked the label and the Manager and the Deputy Manager processed my 66p refund.

shop 2 - went to get the toiletries using the vouchers - bought 4 packs of Doritos priced at £1.08 each, discount did not come off. Total bill £29.10, after voucher use and the R&R paid a total of 28p and gained 268 points. I noticed today that they appeared to write down my clubcard number.

My local has poster up for Nintendo DS + GOTW as Lego star wars. I bought the black DS + GOTW and discount came off. Thankfully they had none in stock, so I got a refund as "my nephew said he definitely wants a black one", but can't try the other 2 colours without looking too much like I'm buying to RnR. So which one should I buy to get the RnR- the silver or the white? Or have other people tried both these colours and the discount applies to both?

If the discount applies to both DS colours, I'll go back and get a tesco mobile instead as the £10 off £50 phones poster still up.
