Oh God, now I'm totally confused, we're all supposed to be in the same corner fighting the big company

    which advice do I take

BTW, I was never abusive, just kept my calm the whole time

Cheekymole, we are all fighting from the same corner. We're just debating which route is the best to take. I'd say follow Ben's advice. Take it to TS. Make a complaint that you've been banned from a store due to complaining about being overcharged. Tell TS that you have had it confirmed verbally that your ban is due to you asking politely for the Store to follow its price promise, as shown on a large blue board behind the CS desk.

Joanne.leith@tesco.co.uk is the lady I dealt with and she was fantastic.
Any opinions voiced are entirely my own and in no way represent those of anyone but me.

Check your Council Tax Band on the VOA Website as you could save 1000's - http://www.voa.gov.uk/council_tax/cti_home.htm
  • kevin.kelly@tesco.co.uk is kevin's email address

I'd give him a call and have a word first...otherwise he'll wonder how you knew that you had to contact him specifically and also where you got the address from

    :)
  • In relation to the annuals 2 for £8 which ones do not work for certain.

The Pokemon didn't bring up the saving today.

    The WWE one DEFINATELY did.

The CS scanned the WWE one twice and that came up at £8. She did the same for the Pokemon and that came up at £4.97 each time with no discount
  • The manager of Tesco Extra in Talbot Green definitely lurks on this board, why

No Olay Body Wash of any variety this morning and yellow labels removed.

During the PS2 and Xbox Console sage they've had the posters displayed but "no" game of the week on the shelf.

Also, maltersers and friends scanned correctly

    Or am i paranoid

Just to reiterate what I said about my PSP R&R today:
    - SEL said £10 off if you buy PSP or DS console and GOTW - expiry date 28/9
    - Games top 10 poster said GOTW for PSP was Tekken - dated week commencing 22/9
    - I bought a White PSP Value pack (£179.97) and Tekken (£29.97) and the discount did not come off, so I got the full R&R (eventually).
The point here is that NONE of this was based on the wrong posters being displayed, or expired SELs being left on shelf.
I can only assume that the offer is meant to come off ONE of the consoles (say a black base unit only?) but the SEL doesn't say this, and in my store was displayed between the Giga pack and the Value pack, not next to the base console.
Staff were just as surprised as me, but not too happy about having to give a refund.

I think the books that are bringing up the no discount are the ones with Pedigree on the front.

Didnt work when i got a Pokemon with Bob the Builder.

Oops Manager of TG will have removed these by the morning if i'm correct, i'll have a check.

not sure you're correct on this one as the WWE on definately did have the Pedigree symbol on the front. Funnily enough it didnt have the 2 for £8 label on it yet it scanned right when the labelled Pokemon one didn't.
  • Overcharged on Xbox 360 + GOTW, they said it was not the GOTW I had bought, but was advertised as being so, so I was entitled to an R&R on the game. I don't understand their logic. The discount was not advertised
as being on the game, the discount was on the two items when bought together. Therefore I was overcharged on both items, and entitled to an R&R on both according to their own policy. How can they say I was only overcharged on the game?

SEL; Buy an Xbox 360 with the GOTW and save £20

    Till; Full price- no discount

Tesco Policy; If charged more than the price advertised you receive a full refund and keep the product.

CS; If charged more than the price advertised you receive a partial refund for whatever amount we choose- keep the product.

This is an obvious case of them trying to wriggle out of their own policy, and astounds me how they can so blazenly ignore the wording of their own advertisements to avoid 'giving away' more than they have to.

Come on Mr T- you made a promise, stop trying to wriggle out of it.
