I went to my local... no PSP offers
Had the 360 offer showing and I was delighted.
Only.. the only empty shelf was Just Cause. Odd, because every game had a few copies. Didnt bother asking if they had any in stock
Guess I have missed the boat for this now

Went to the next store ( a bigger 1), and this was all covered up with white labels )

Got a slight problem with my R&R. A couple of days ago I saw the psp offer up in my local tesco, but I didnt think much of it. I was browsing this page yetsreday, and saw that people were R&R'ing their psp's, and I thought "holy crap". I went down to the store, well two of them infact (taking over 6 hours of the day) but both stores had taken off those get 10 quid off things.

I'm thinking of just telling them that I saw them there a couple of days ago, and the posters said that the offer was valid untill the 29th of september, therefore I was overcharged. So I'm looking for a picture of the poster that someone mentioned was in this thread, but I cant find it.

If anyone has any tips about how I should go about doing this I'd much appreciate them.

Otherwise if anyone knows a store with the posters still up inside london please pm me

I've had to come out of lurkdom to tell you how I went on, and sadly the answer is badly.

I studied this and other threads and great length to make sure I had it all straight, then this morning dropped my child off at school and headed off to Tesco, and of course directly to the games consoles.

All appropriate posters where in place, in fact I photographed them on my mobile to be on the safe side. But the shelves where bare almost. The GOTW was missing from the Xbox section, there was no single DS, only Mario Kart bundles. I can't remember about the PSP cos I was fairly stressed.

I decided nothing ventured nothing gained so I asked a member of staff if there was any stock not out, and decided I would go for modest rewards so asked for a DS. She came back with a pink DS, and told me she would leave it at CS for me to collect and pay for when I had finsihed shopping. I found a copy of the DS GOTW (Lego) and headed off, but realised I hadn't seen a SEL for a pink DS, only silver, so I nipped back to check and sure enough it wasn't listed at all, so I scribbled the figures down on my hand so I would have a clue if I was being overcharged or not! When I got to CS I asked how much the pink DS was, and it was the same price as the silver, so to me that said it was likely to be included in the offer, ie not give them a reason to wriggle out of it. Unfortunatley the discount went through. And although I need a pink ds for my daughter for xmas, I wasn't fussed about the GOTW for her, so wasn't happy to buy that particular bundle at that particular price. So I had to "lose" my credit card. I think I did a creditable job of appearing flustered about it since I felt fairly flustered doing it. Gutted it didn't work though!

I'm gutted also as I purchased an xbox360 and gotw a week ago (discount didn't apply), after getting nowhere with the CS desk rang HO who also refused. Took a refund after I'd been in the store for almost an hour and went home. Wish I'd have kept it until it was properly resolved

If the posters or SELs or whatever aren't there when you purhase then you can't do it. You'd have to lie and you might get into hot water.

Also... I can't be 100% sure on this, but I reckon if anyone knew of any stores that were still giving away free consoles they would probably buy them for themselves rather than just tell you where to get 'em! Just a thought and I'm certainly not intending to sound like I'm having a pop!
