I completely get where you are coming from with the matching outside (and I grew up just outside Liverpool if it helps). I think it is because My Nan and Mum always did the matching outside thing. Although like others I do notice when a house is matching and for me they usually stand out. I dont think badly of those that dont match, just dont notice the house so much. That said I wouldnt argue over it. I would just nod in agreement and then order what I want :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You could have the venetian blinds and then have blackout liners on your curtains...;)

That was what I'd already decided to do at the start of all this. :D

    Btw...my blinds matter.

just read that you've thought of the blackout liners.

Just wanted to say at least it'll have something on the windows, there's not much I hate more than walking past a window and they have the lights on inside and are watching TV, but don't have the curtains shut or the blinds closed!

there are more important things to make sure you've got right in the bedroom than the type of blinds on the window, lol

Of course you could discuss the blinds post coitally and he'll agree to anything - he just wants to sleep then, so will give in. rotfl:

    My blinds bug me.

If you look at the front of the house, all windows are cream, apart from son's bedroom blinds which are white.

It really bugs me and I wish I had got them all the same.

Same at the back of the house too, all cream apart from daughter's whose is white.

So annoying, so Yes, I must be sad too ;)

Its worth a row to stop a man thinking he can dictate any colour choices or style choices for a home, as nearly all are colour blind & only gay men have any style.

Its nice when they are all the same from outside.

I have rollers upstairs & light oak Venetians downstairs, because they work in the rooms.

I would rather have the wooden Venetian blinds all over as I think they look better than rollers, but blackout rollers work so well in bedrooms:(
