My blinds (all roman) appear white on the back view that you can see from the road, although they are different patterns on the fronts. I have to make sure they are all 'pulled' down to the same level in the front windows too! I don't bother so much about the back windows though.

Working in an estate agents, a client made us retake the photos and REPRINT allllllllllllllll the schedules cos his blinds werent level.... I kid you not! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Edited to add, definitely worth a row and my hubby gets a say, but I decide lol

I think its a very very Scottish thing aliasojo, no one I know who isn't Scottish would ever consider such a thing! Personally it doesn't bother me much, two of my front windows have white and two, red, and some of my neighbours matching windows look a bit "chavvy". But I do remember when I was little, all my family and neighbours having matching nets!

not just a scottish thing I am Welsh and would have a fit if my windows didn't all match from the outside. I have black out linings on my curtains.

Lol at this..yes i do think they should all match!!

When we bought this house i was quite excited at the prospect of getting venetians so bought them all and up they went apart from our downstairs loo and kitchen which was a roller..i decided it would look better matching but you couldnt see what it was anyway from outside due to the glass and being a town house unless anyone was looking up quite high they would never know!..looked lovely the others though. We have 4 windows at the front of our house and luckily all of them are the same in size so was easy to buy BUT dd had her room changed a few months back and hers our now white (others beechy oak type) and hers went into the kitchen and one in the bin as wasn't turning well. Can't say ive noticed from outside but i am nosey and seem to notice everyone elses so?!

Id'e personally now have rooman ones in the bedroom for us as the venetians can let lots of light in, in the summer and are really well fitted at the mo so no gaps ect.

Good luck my hubby never cared what we had apart form our back door whiich he chose and fitted (a cream roman blind which looks lovely).
