Retrieve it from the bin. It said a new one would be sent out together with pre-paid envelope to return the old one. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

How many Kwh of energy does it take to make and ship a Lime plug? How many Kwh of energy will the average Lime plug save over its lifetime?
Wouldn't mind betting it takes more energy to make a Lime plug than the average Lime plug will ever save. And if you bought one unsubsidised I'd bet it would cost more than the electricity you'd ever save.
Is this just another example of green b*****ks, i.e. it's all about people feeling good by doing something labelled as "green" (even if it isn't) rather than actually doing something that will make a difference (like bothering to turn off old TVs at the socket?)0 -
I too got the letter and email. Still using it as I figured if you didnt try to remove it from the socket you should be OK.
But its stopped working today and so far no sign of any replacement.
Mind you I expect they have thousands to send out- not much electricity saving going on there......0 -

The simple answer is if you dont want or agree with it then dont apply for the free plug.
How much energy did it take for you to type out your negative comments?? Energy that you wont get back.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Mine too. I use it in the bedroom, with TV and lamp plugged in, so I can remotely switch off both at the same time. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Does it look better made than the last one? The last one looked like it had an extra piece of plastic put on in front of the plug pins at the last minute.
I haven't even got the envelope to send the last one back yet, let alone the replacement! So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
Hope sharing saves some pain.0 -

Looks exactly the same to me. Was a note in with it saying they don't need us to send the old ones back and to cut the sensor off so it cant be used. We’ve had to remove your signature. Sadly due to demand they are no longer offering the energy saving plug. Water widget still up for grabs though0
