  • Just got the recall e-mail too. Looks like my plug is one of them. I'm not sure I want a replacement now though, I'd rather not be electrocuted, even if it is free!

I had a letter through about the recall, but had picked it up on MoneySaving Weekly email anyway, and had an email through.
  • I received my free plug - no recall email though.

But I got the plug for my TV. But after checking I found the TV only uses a tiny bit of power when on standby - about the same amount of power the Lime plug uses!

I wondered about that. I assumed the plug must still have some power going through it so it could turn so it could be turned on with a remote. Thanks for testing it. At least I won't feel bad about taking it apart and seeing what is inside now.

So it's dangerous AND it doesn't save any power, genius.

My Dad has the same lime plug as me, with the same model number but has had no recall letter or e-mail yet.

  • My letter came through the post yesterday. Reused the paper to print some postage labels and threw the plug in the bin!
