It asks for a promotional code and I don't have one!Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

Have just found the solution, if you read the homepage of the website there will be an alternative promotional code to use.
Hurry though as offer ends 31st December 2010 !

only one per household from LIME, but make use of work addresses and friends addresses that dont want them0

Thanks OP. When you get to the list of benefits you are claiming it does seem as if you have to be claiming some money, but leave everything unticked and it accepts the application OK. The currency of the offer is that it expires January 31st. Bitcoin0

I tried out my freebie LIME energy saving plug yesterday and at first it seemed great to be able to switch on and off the TV, digi-box, DVD recorder and video recorder all at the press of one button I had 'assigned' (the On/Off) on my remote control...
But then, with all the units switched on, I pressed the TV On Demand button on my remote, and the whole lot was switched off again.
I switched all back on and tried again. This time I pressed the TV Guide button on the remote, and the same thing happened..
Rather than me assigning one particular button on the remote, as the instructions indicate, it seems whichever button you use (even to merely change channels) the LIME plug is activated and everything is switched off.
What is the point of it?
All I actually needed to do for the same effect (turning everything off stand-by for a few hours), is to flick one switch - at the wall socket.
Are these energy-saving plugs, especially as promoted as a government initiative, just to make it look as though 'someone is doing something' eco-wise?
I cannot see why they are generally necessary, unless someone has difficulty bending down to a wall socket.
Perhaps what little benefit they may bring, is completely offset by the huge waste of resources used in producing and promoting the things, when the vast majority of us could do the job ourselves.

I love mine, at the end of the evening I can switch everything off with one remote and in the morning the same. If I switch it all off from the plug my sky box takes ages to re boot itself but with the lime plug it comes straight on in the morning.
