Morning
I was up at 5.30 helping my eldest get all his camping gear packed as he was leaving for The Reading Festival at 7, then as soon as he left I wizzed around to mum's house as she has cancer and hasn't been well these last few days. When I got there she was gone which gave me a start - no note or anything! I rang the local hospital and she was in A & E but by the time I arrived she was on a ward and not looking too bad so i'm pleased they are taking care of her. I've come home and started sneezing, it's cold and damp and i'm so tempted to put on the heating but trying to hold back......0 -

Hope you don't have to wait too long for Cub to arrive xx
Well I've come to the conclusion that the state of the house definately affects my sanity. The more untidy and cluttered it looks the worse I feel - is that nuts??I mean it really gets to me - I don't consider myself to be a neat freak but perhaps I really am?
Anyone got any tips for not letting it get to you? It makes me snap at the kids and generally makes me miserable. Not felt like this on holiday but BANG! back home and feel the stress rising again.:o:o:o:o

Bitsy - I lost the plot the other week (remember the stand off with DH) well, i have since moved all toys from the FR to the bedrooms, Got rid of the toys they don't play with and jus spread everywhere, placed a washing basket a the top of the stairs currently training DH and kids to use it. Kitchen is usually my mess when cooking so do that as i go, then when the kiddies go to bed, i have a quick i mean quick whip around putting things away they have left out. I gotta say yes it definatley affects my mood :cool:You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

Morning peeps
N9eav - enjoy fishing! I'd love to go to Orkney, but not in one day like you!
glitterkitty - good luck for op
I'm at work now. Had a busy morning so far, been up to another office (40mins drive) to do handover with colleague who is finishing tomorrow. All his kids seemed pleased to see me (I work with them for one week) so hopefully it should be smooth transition for their last 3 weeks.
I'm back in my office now but I'm all alone. It's a bit creepy when there is no-one here, and I have to lock myself in. I tend to put the radio on via PC when I'm here on my own but have found out that work have blocked Radio 1 and 2 local stations , however I have managed to get another local radio station to work
although there are too many ads for my liking, but it'll do! I should have company from 2pm on.
It's stopped bucketing down here, still wet but it's more drizzley showers. I'm hoping we get a dry day over weekend so I can do some washing.
OS wise - DW went on this morning. Think I'll have stir fry for tea, so will need to prep veggies when I get home.
Right better get on and do some work! Have a good day all
