    Morning all ,

Thanks for all your support yesterday. Got home and listened to Carrie Underwood's version of "How Great Thou Art" a few thousand times on repeat. Really very uplifting even if you're not religious.

    kezlou - hugs xx
bargainbird - I would throw your blackberries in once you've made your batter. I bet they'll be yummy!

My lovely friend is taking me out to lunch today. He made me laugh so hard yesterday I almost snorted coffee out of my nose (classy!) so I dread to think what he's going to come out with today :rotfl:

DH FINALLY went to the doctors yesterday and it turns out he has housemaid's knee on the back of his heel. How I laughed :rotfl: He's been given anti-inflammatories and told not to buy carppy cheap shoes! I did try to tell him that you can't scrimp on shoes but he thought I was just trying to excuse my habit. I love it when my shoe habit is supported by medical experts :D

Anyway, OS is kind of limited as we're planning for holiday so I'll do something like egg and chips for tea and iron the last bits of washing when I get in tonight.

Hope everyone is ok, hugs to all xx

ugh - is it morning already? Youngest suddenly became very ill at 3.30pm yesterday -he's fine now! I went to bed ill and was dizzy and stumbling everywhere - but at 3am had to deal with youngest all over again. So we might stay in our jarmies today whilst I recover and stop feeling so dizzy.

Lunch and tea will therefore be whatever I have in the fridge - mostly veg so will have to brave the garage to get to the freezer. The chicken we had on Monday and I couldn't deal with yesterday doesn't smell right - so I will strip it of meat and give the meat to the dogs (so at least the chicken did two meals!). MUST get the freezer better stocked to cope with days like this.

Off to make lists of what I have in the cupboards, my secret stash and also the freezer. Must also start my cooking for Christmas as well - so I have space in the freezer!! Have a great day everyone. x
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    Hello Everyone!

Yes it's still raining here-just had to towel the cat off and now she's on the bed with me looking sleepy...that's why I'm awake as she was yelling to get in.

Started getting xmas pressies already(amazing for me) as DD and her DF are coming home from abroad for the celebrations. Buy one get one half price in Past*mes. Got a DVD set for OH's stocking, friend and I bought two and split the difference. We are both doing adult stockings this year and looking for bargains.

    Have a good day.

We have had torrential rain overnight and it is still raining:eek::eek: - I know the gardens needed it but it is about time it stopped :( Definitely getting cooler so I think Autumn is on its way too.
I actually like Autum and Winter.:)

Didn't post yesterday because I wasn't feeling too well and spent most of the day in bed, till I got a phone call from SIL in a right panic because her computer crashed so I went over even though I still felt rough - glad I did because after I had fixed it she coloured and restyled my hair for doing it :D I love the barter system :D:D:D Mind you I have been roped in to making cakes and vodka jellies for her DP's 50th on Saturday :rotfl:

Aussie Lass Good to see you posting again :)
Glitterkitty - Lakeland for an enamel plate  Poundland have some and the are the ones that I use.

tru I do so hope that Mr tru's job is safe and I will keep my fingers crossed, but it is very worrying and we have been in that situation more times than I care to think of - the trouble is that there aren't many jobs out there and if you are over a certain age you are basically screwed. Glad Master tru has finally come to his senses (((((((Hugs))))))
My DH had to take a very low paid job because that was all that was available to him and I have tried to find a job but it is a lot harder when you have any sort of health issue because no company likes you taking time off for hospital appointments  But we have managed to survive but I fear it will get worse because of this Government. I am proud to say that we did NOT vote for any Hooray Henry's.

Shopping today but not much to get thankfully because we went overdrawn last month and we are living out of the freezer and cupboards this month to get us back on track - so just bare minimum fresh stuff to get.

Well I am off to get ready to go shopping Have good days all and ((((Hugs)))) to all in need of one. x x

    Morning all,

Pouring with rain again here today, It did not stop all day yesterday, torrential rain, with thunder and lightening, and the roads started to flood.

When I got up yesterday morning, and looked out the window it was quite a bright day, so I shoved two towel loads in the wm, as soon as the 2nd one had finished it started raining so I now have wet towels draped over everything, if its not nice tomorrow I will have to re wash them and take them to the laundrette to dry.

Dinner tonight will be sausage chips and beans for the others, I will have sausage and veg.

Today dd and I are off to town later on, to give her CV out again, she is still desperate for a saurday job, so we will try again, I also need to price up a winter quilt for her.

Hugs to Lowesy, have a good break, and try to relax xx

Tru, Hope it all works out for Mr Tru xx

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all,

Nice to read all the news. I did read the thread yesterday but didn't post.

Hugs for Kezlou and Lowesy and anyone else that feels the need.

Wel, yesterday was very busy - my lovely mum :Acame to visit for the day to clean the house. I'm huge and pregnant and finding it a struggle at the moment, so it was very much appreciated.:T We bought her a lovely bunch of roses to say thank you. I did the bathroom and ensuite, and 2 loads of washing and made the lunch (prawn sarnies) and tea (lamb shanks and veggies and crumble to follow), then was absolutely shattered.

Baby Cub has been wriggling a lot for the last couple of nights - I think she's trying to burrow down, ready for delivery! I have to say though, some of the movements have made me squeak, they're so uncomfortable!

I saw the midwife for a routine appointment this morning and all is well. She said that she thinks I could go into labour in the next week or so :):):) (apparently I have a slightly dopey look in my eyes which women often get when labour is near due to hormones etc :rotfl:).

Better trim my nails soon, or OH might get welts from the hand squeezing in labour! :p

OS wise today, I have put some washing on and will tidy the kitchen shortly. The weather is horrible, so the washing will have to go on the clothes horse, but it should dry reasonably quickly. I have snaffled one of OH's big cosy jumpers to keep warm, but will resort to a quick blast of the heating or living room fire if need be.

I've planned spaghetti carbonara for tea and have all the ingredients in. Its nice and quick and easy, and we've not had it for a while.

I might go to sainsburys today to have a look at their clothes sales. I think I saw some nice tops in there the other day. Apparently they also have 'the very hungry caterpillar' baby clothes in -so cute! I loved the book when i was child, and have already bought a copy for Cub, but a matching babygrow would be so sweet :). Am a sucker, I know :o.

Well, have a good day everyone.

    Ali xx
