Ahhhh, see I'm so naive I thought everyone had to buy a new one, nearly had a bugfit when I saw the price on Amazon lol.

Even though I'm on CD1 I'm not really feeling down like I thought I might when the fat lady started singing. Perhaps speaking to the consultant today has spurred me on as she didn't look horrified when I said what an old biddy I am :rotfl:

So, lots of luck to everyone for a BFP this month including meeeee :D

And now I don't want to go back on any type of pill (the reduction in headaches and migraines is VERY noticeable!). OH hates condoms *rolls eyes*, so that means no intercourse unless I use something else! And the only other options are more long term than I would like, I think (injection, implant etc).

So you have to suffer migraines because OH doesn't like condoms???:huh::huh:
    Evening all,

For all of those who can remeber Madbird I've spoken to her recently she's having a baby boy which I'm so chuffed to let you all know about and also she wanted to say this!!

"I don't like to post in TTC as don't want to feel rubbing anyones nose in it so to speak. But if you want to pass on a message to say still thinking of you all and wishing you all quick BFPs then would be good!"

She's 1 of our older graduates and is still in awe of the fact that bubs in on the way!!! :happyhear

Aaaaah, that's fab news, how far along is she? It's great to hear some good news stories :D

I heard a story/fable recently that is kinda relevant - it's about religion/god, but applies to fate as well. Something along these lines:

A very religious family were caught in a severe flood - the water rose up around their home, and they were forced to clamber up on the roof. They prayed to god to save them, as the waters rose. Some rescuers came and threw lifebelts to them, but the family said No, we are in god's hands - it is his will if we live or die. Then some firemen came in a boat and told them to jump in, but again, they kept praying. Then a police helicopter hovered overhead as the water lapped around them, and a rope came down...but once again they said that if it was god's will to let them live, they would. The water kept rising, and the whole family sadly drowned. When they reached heaven, they met god and asked him why he had not saved them - they were good devout people after all. He said "I sent people to rescue you three times, and each time you refused to accept my help. That is why you died".

So like euronorris says, we are dealt cards and it is up to us how we choose to play them! :)

I'm not a religious person, but I like that story.

This is me today :EasterBunBeen to the pictures this evening with 2 of my nieces to see Yogi Bear and they tempted me with chocolate :D They were so cute and fab.

I had a dream last night that I was pg and in labour and gave birth to one of my nieces, it was so detailed and real that when I woke up I had this amazing feeling of contentment that I had a baby :D Then I realised it wasn't real and thought that it must be and omen that I should do a pg test. The BFN was a disappointment :(

Aye, but I've found with DH that it's either because it's "all about getting pg" or because of his own self esteem - nothing to do with not wanting a baby (he's the broodiest man I've ever met) or not wanting me...he's just got some hang ups of his own.:shhh: Could it be something like that?:o

I'm gonna test in the morn again I think...surely if the spotting on Sunday night was implantation I'd get at least a TLP by now...?

Thanks QQ (I ran out of multiquote allowance...and I'm lazy ;))
I wonder if it'd be worth getting DH do mither me for a temp before he leaves, and then doing one when I wake up 'properly' too for a while and seeing if they correspond??

I dont know how to mulit quote sorry ladies (do we have any gents lurking??)

Hmmmm never thought of it from that angle, i always hear stories from friends about blokes chasing em round the bedroom. Mine is a bit more laid back i suppose. Ill still get something new and lacy as it makes me fell nice andit might rub off on Hubby...

    How did you test go???

Debs nice to see you hunni, was thinking about you yesterday wondering where you'd been. I like that first haircut, v sxy! have you considered going blonde? i used to be dark brunette and went blonde about a year ago and love it!! only downside is its pretty pricey to maintain. but its v flattering if you're a fair skinned Scot like me! your beach trip with Conor sounds lovely a great way to keep the PMA up xxx

    Jen xxxx

As for the hair I think blonde may be a bit to extreme for me just yet but yeah I'm a fair scot too I only live roung the corner from you!!! Lol!!! So I'll be expecting an invitation to your housewarming party when you have it!!! ;)

I told DH this and he now thinks the people on this thread are trying to make the world a better place by encouraging everyone to have more sex.

Thanks deborah, I'm so glad madbird and her bump are doing well

    Sorry :(
I bought my CBFM second hand, and you can sell it on afterwards so in real terms it costs very little.

Sounds good to me keeping the love flowing and all that!! Mayb we should be nicknamed the hippies!!! :rotfl:

Yeah madbird looks in on us from time to time and I'm chuffed she's doing so well too!!! :D

    Good evening ladies!

Wow - you girls have had a better PMA day and things have even got a little deep!

WonderWomble - good luck with the specialist hun. Is there a chance you could have ov'd late this month and maybe too early for tlp?!? Good luck with job interview and BOOK THE HOLIDAY..! I mean, you wouldn't want to tempt fate or anything, would you........?!?
Jen - I tell hubby the basics (around ov time, when af comes, etc. Anything more detailed and he would probably feel too pressured)
euro - fabby advice hun. Re: condoms, etc- have you tried suggesting to OH the pullout method? OBVIOUSLY THIS IS NOT A FORM OF CONTRACEPTION (in big letters just in case we have an uneducated lurker ) We did that for 6 months before actively TTC and our take on it was - IF we did get pg (obviously we did not) then, that would be our fate and we would deal with it ;). Just a thought - that's all. If you defo can't get pg til later this year then, I don't suggest this method but it was a happy medium for us, iyswim.
QQ - it's sad re: your work colleague. I understand leaving things to fate but, there is no harm in being educated on the matter and it sounds like she was not... I think others are right in that she is encouraging you to do the IVF as she may regret that she did not.
Rebekah - tell your OH you simply cannot produce babies on demand and that he should just get on with it and be happy with all of the BDing:rotfl::rotfl:
mrsdave - ((hugs)) sorry the witch got you. LOVING YOUR ADVICE - WE MUST KEEP THE PMA UP GIRLS!!!!
Madbird - i lurk on the pg forums and watch all of the graduates (i promise i'm not stalking though!)
must_try_harder - your OHs comment re: this thread making the world a better place by getting people to BD made me seriously LOL!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: HILARIOUS!!!
BB - that story re: the floods is one of my favs and it is so true! I'm not very religious but, I do believe in angels and someone/thing looking down on us :A

CD5(22) here and I've told DH that should try the every day approach this month (starting with tonight just in case....!) So we are going to make an effort to BD every day for the next 9 days  I will be exhausted.......

My chart is so symmetrical today - how cool to have the same temps back to back and (carrying on with my 7's theme) if you imagine a mirror in the middle, it's the number 7 mirrored  (At least I amuse myself, right?!?) :rotfl: My theory is - if I focus on something else, I won't be obsessing over baby making!;)

Really good to see the PMA back- I enjoyed reading the positives from everyone today.
((hugs)) to those that need them and SBDTA
