BFN! The test took so long to come up with a result that I knew it was going to be a negative

We are starting to think that IVF is the way forward, which is a scary thought in many ways.
but before that, we've said we'll see how we go with ovulation kits......& continuing too keep fingers crossed.....
I hope you don't need to resort to that Lurker, and that AF doesn't arrive. :o

    :(
BUT, as you know, it wasn't FMU, and that can make all the difference at this early stage...!

I hope you bought a double pack ;)

Are you sure when you ov'd? Could you be a day or two out? It all makes a difference :)

I hope your dad's ok though/improving? And that you don't lose your job :o

Thanks BigZippy. I think you can only use the "not FMU" excuse if you are testing early, which I technically wasn't doing at 14DPO. AF will prob turn up sooner or later. I did, however, buy a double pack! It suggests trying again in 3 days if your period is already due. What do you reckon?

Nah, it's not an excuse. 14DPO is still early, and the % for accurate testing are based on FMU being used. I would test in the morning personally. (And every morning til I got a BFP/AF probably! :p)

I hope I didn't get OV wrong, we went a good week after my OV without BDing so I'd have no hope then. I got a positive OPK today 2 weeks ago and my temps increased the next day, although they never really got high until a once off last Sunday and then another high on Thurs morning. I never did another OPK after that positive one though so who knows.

Yeah, Dad's on the mend - seeing him next weekend and can't wait - I'm Daddy's little girl! Looks like I won't find out about the job til the end of October - cue another 3 months of stress!

Did the OPKs coincide with EWCM? Swimmers can last in fertile CM for 5 days, so don't lose hope either way. I hope it's just a shy BFP though :D

Glad to hear that re: your dad :)
Try not to stress out too much about the job, I'm guessing it's out of your hands, so stressing won't do much but mess with your head and your body (ov'ing included ;)) :)

Fingers crossed for the morning's FMU :D
