First ov after the failed IVF:o

Now you know that your body has recovered from all the drugs etc from the IVF. Hopefully you'll catch the eggie and won't need anymore treatment :)

Hope Jayne & Bob is having a ball:D

I'm going to take it with a pinch of salt as I've cheated a little :o

Woke up at 3:50 am and temp was 36.19 (above coverline and higher than yesterday but not that high) si=o woke up just over two hours later and it was 36.47 and then again an hour later at it was 36.33 so I took the average :o
We'll see if I was right to do so tomorrow. If it goes down but above the 36.19 I may change today's to the lowest one.

Have mild AF cramps again so I fear this maybe all for nothing!

    xx

    Hi
I am a long time lurker and have been waiting to TTC, also using another account for identity reasons - havent told anyone our plans to start a family.
I have just finished my first withdrawal bleed after coming off cerazette. Wont be using protection while I wait on my first normal period - just not very fond of condoms.
Is there a chance of ovulating between now and my first "normal" period?

    Thanks :)

:hello:Hello Klump! Welcome to the thread :D

With regards to how long it takes your body to start ov-ing again after stopping the contraceptive pill - it varies from woman to woman. Some women are lucky enough to ov straight away and get pg in their first cycle off the pill and for some women it takes a bit longer. So it's kind of a case of "wait and see" I'm afraid. :o

Using OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) can help you identify if you are ovulationg of not. There is a link on the first page to some cheapie ones that some of us use.

Thanks, I dont think I am going to try the OPK's just yet, just want to see what happens in the first 6 months before I do anything like that. I dont want to stress myself out either lol, although, I think everyone starts by saying that :)

I have heard so many horror stories about coming off this pill! Just hope my AF quickly so I can start trying :j
How long since you stopped it? How were your periods on this pill, did you have any?

Klump I know what you mean, I too have seen the horror stories :eek:but i take the view that for every one i see there must be many others who have had no problems at all. :DPeople who conceive without problems tend not to write about them! I was on microgynon for 9 years and cerazette for one year, whilst
one cerazette I had no periods at all. I stopped taking it on 4th July, had very light spotting on 14th -16th and not waiting to see what happens.

Like you I want to avoid the OPKs for a while and see what happens, plus that is a great excuse to BD as much as possible!! I look for signs in my body for ov.

We have to remember its eary days, we could catch a beanie straight away or it could just take a few months to get back to noormal cycle and oving. best thing wea can do is relax AND HAVE FUN but it can be frustrating! :D

I hope you stick around, would be good to have a buddy! :T:T

I just stopped taking Cerazette 12th July, I think I got my period Friday 15th, which just finished Fri 22nd. I didnt have any bleeding with this pill for the 1st 3-4 months and for the last 6 months I have had 2 week periods, apart from this month - I think this may have been something to do with stopping it though. I am glad to see the back of that pill :rotfl:

Very exciting starting a family, although, very scary too...

I will be sticking around, I think I have been reading this forum for atleast 7 months, was when we had all the bad snow and I was "working" from home I came accross this forum, seen alot of people "graduate" :T:T:T
