Thanks emsbet - hope your spotting stops soon and that your cold is better quickly. I know what you mean about eating better - I don't have scales, but I've been craving a lot more carbs and chocolate (I normally get this the week before AF, but this time it's been after), so I need to start eating more healthily too.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

We don't have any scales but we do have a wii fit.
For me it's not really been chocolate (although that doesn't help:rotfl:) but we've been eating out a lot recently as I haven't felt like cooking plus we had friends stop Thursday to Sunday last weekend so ate out a lot then too.

  • Hi All

Well... AF is due today and hasn't shown (yet) but I was impatient and tested this morning. Nothing showed (Wilkinsons test) until almost 10 mins in - but I think I can see a very, very, very faint line which I'm probably imagining. You have to kind of tip it a bit to see anything - lol - which def makes me think it's my imagination. The test says not to read after 10 mins so I'm guessing it's now dud and that lines can appear willy nilly after 10 mins!? Will buy a better test if AF hasn't shown by 2m. BTW - does anyone else put off going to the loo when AF is due just so you don't have to see the inevitable??

They say not to read the test after 10 minutes because you may get a line which isn't a positive but an evaporation line from the urine eveoprating from the test. If the line is the same colour as the control (i.e pink or blue depending on the test you are using) then there is a posibility it is a TLP but if it is grey then it is most likely an evaporation line. This website has lots of information about testing http://peeonastick.com/

Thanks for the info :) It's pink - the same colour as the control line. The control line is very thick and very pink - the other line is very faint but def pink - think I'm just over analysing - funny what this ttc lark does to your brain and eyes!!

Pink sounds promising. If you get another next time you test then maybe get a CB digi as that will say either "pregnant" or "not pregnant" which is better than squinting at a line! :p You might want to give the digi a couple of days though because it is not as sensitive as some and are quite expensive.

  • Thanks Emsbet - Argh - I'm so impatient! Keep looking and there's definitely a line - wish I'd thrown it away at 10 mins and not tortured myself! Haha x

    Hi Northern Girlie,

Even now I get a faint line on the IC's and I've got my BFP (ahem LOTS of times) from Tesco's own PG tests and also from a CB digi.

I think (and Emsbet originally suggested this to me) that the IC aren't as sensitive as some high street versions.

I am turning to Stacey and will have a box full of tests at this rate - I keep wanting to check AGAIN and AGAIN :rotfl:

    SBD to everyone!

Well Dr Bigzippy was right on the money - I need to take paracetamol for the back pain, and try to stretch to ease the muscle. I can't take ibuprofen tablets, but apparently the cream on the area should be fine as the dose it quite low. Think I'll stick to the parrots and try to book a massage if things don't improve in the next few days.

    Fingers crossed Northern.
