    Sorry to hear that mrs_dave.

I'm compeletely knackered this morning, I don't even have the energy to go back the last few pages to catch up!

My boobs are still slightly tender, but Im not almost convinced it is because I keep prodding them. They dont hurt first thing in the morning and DW even said they loked smaller this AM and that they definitely looked fuller last night.

Glad you're feeling a bit better charlie - knowledge is power, an' all that! :) Hope your cold clears off soon, summer colds are rubbish.

    Hugs Mrs Dave :grouphug:

Nothing to report from me, TTC-wise. Home alone though as my DH had to rush off to london as his dad is very very ill in hospital :( Hopefully he will pull through (had emergency surgery yesterday early hours). Not sure when DH is coming home, he's going to see how things pan out.

Grim weather here, been pouring all day so far. I was good though and braved it to go out to the gym :D

I'm the same - I looked in the mirror this morning, and I think they look a bit smaller than last night.

AF is due 20th June for me. When are you due? Will keep fingers crossed that we will turn out to be BFP buddies along with the rest of the people posting - wouldn't it be amazing if we all got a BFP en masse? :T
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

The album I have on has run though twice in the time its taken me to catch up! Good thing Mumford & Sons are so upbeat, I'm not positively euphoric.

Do we actually have a fella on the board at last?

    ETA: thanks for the stats

Stats very handy. My OH keeps reading the thread over my shoulder but he won't post as there are no men on here!

    Howdy all,

I am bursting with news and responses (forgot many responses I am so sorry).

    1. Hello male bringer of sperm - hopefully you can be the sperm mascot for the thread

    3. This may make you laugh! I am well excited because yesterday I finally got a positive OPK! I am Ovulating! I didn't realise how worried I was until yesterday and want to tell the world! I was soo chuffed as I have never had a positive reading before. And feel a bit like a hen

Anyway, I spent the evening spontaneously singing 'I've got an eegggggg!', but Mr Praline!

Well, he spent a few minutes briefing his army on a new mission they have been in training for years apparently and now the time is 'ripe'. Their mission is to save Mistress Eggy from a short life of purgotory (we are catholic btw) and the soldier that accomplishes the mission (by liberating princess eggy) will be promoted to Major Zygote and unified for life with Princess eggy.

    I was on the floor.

Okay you make me laugh - please do stick around! I'm not sure I could have had sex after hearing him talk like that - I watched some programme a while ago (think it was called 'The Great Sperm Race' where all the sperm were human sized and going up tiny corridors and fighting and running over hills and things.... now the day after we DTD I can't help imagining the sperms faces like those on the program...

I had mentioned not having sperm on tap! I thought that was a dead give away!! Obviously nobody reads my posts

We're using a donor, somebody we met through a website. The only reason we are not yet going down the clinic route (which we would obviously prefer) is the cost, and we're not entitled to any funding on the NHS, as we have a child (my DW's child from previous r'ship, also a donor baby!) who lives with us.

    Complicated, much?

I read it - I assumed your OH worked away a lot as a sales rep or something!

What do you get out of doing an OPK 3 times a day when it gets darker? Surely if your man is available you DTD, sperm lasts 72 hours ish, and just keep DTDing until the temps rise, knowing the exact time the line is darkest is a bit moot isn't it?

Re holding it for two hours, my internet cheapies (bits of paper with green on the end) say 2 hours but I usually only make it to 1 1/2 and I still got a big bold positive on Thursday, very faint on Friday although a little bolder yesterday (still a neg though as not as dark as control line).

Temp has risen by about 0.45C, but I thought it was about a degree rise to show OV had occured - any advice? All on my chart if anyone would like a gander and advise if they think I OV-d and we timed it right I'd really love to get advice.

Trying to work out if I fell down the stairs yesterday and forgot - my tummy is really tight (like when you do FAR too many situps, I can feel it all tight by prodding it), I have shooting pains in one ear (I get a lot of earache but sort of under my ear and down my neck, not in the actual ear - it feels swollen), even my ankles and wrists hurt. I really hope I'm not getting flu and I just slept badly. Don't worry not in any way SSing, no wagging fingers at me!

Gosh Charlie, I was shocked you have a bmi of 15, I would be suprised if your body was fertile with a BMI that low. Please don't read that as nagging or in any way judging but one of my friends tried to conceive for years and years with a BMI of 16.2ish, got to the point of discussing IVF and they said she had to raise her BMI to over 18.5, took her 7 months but she did it, and fell naturally within 2 months while waiting to go to the clinic! Its something about our body not having enough energy and stored fat to support you let alone a baby, so even if an egg is fertilised it can't latch on. I didn't know whether to post in case it came across as getting at you or anything, but if her experience could in any way help someone else help get their little one I know she'd want to shout it from the rooftops as she went through years of pain thinking she'd never get to be a mum. If you've got PCOS anyway which you can't control, might make sense to try to control the things you can.

Really hope your FIL is okay BB1984.

Kaemi, FF says this about temp rises:

In most cases, you are able to see a biphasic pattern on your chart after ovulation has taken place. That is, you will have lower pre-ovulation temperatures and higher post-ovulation temperatures. Your temperature may rise slowly in increments, or quickly, or it may even rise and fall slightly over several days. The rise in temperature is usually about 0.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 0.2 degrees Celsius, but the rise may be as slight as 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit or 0.1 degrees Celsius or even less in some cases. Great variability is possible.

    So 0.45 seems fine.

    BB hope FIL is ok

    xx

Thanks Emsbet that makes me feel a lot better. Guess I'm in the 2WW then!

I found it hard to believe we could miss a day at the fertile time and the swimmers would still be hanging around. Clearly they're a lot more patient than me I don't wait 72 hours for anything! I read on another forum that the 'every 2 days' thing is a bit of a con as that is for men who have difficulty producing enough sperm, but a pretty equal number of men have sperm that don't last as long and you need to be at it every 12 hours!!! In the end I just tried not to think about timing it and just take advantage when the mood arose.

Been watching 'Born to be different' online this morning while I do some business planning, all the kids in it are quite seriously disabled in some way, but they are all so mature and accepting, makes me feel a lot more positive that I could cope with a disabled child, which is obviously a fear of most parents to be.

Is it Clomid you take or is that for something completely different?
I take Clomid, and I sometimes take norethisterone to induce AF:o
I'm not taking anything now though. I'm at CD30 and no ov:o

I still have some norethisterone from before, so I may take it to time ov with mid July, obviously after I emailed my doctor:cool:

I'm not sure what I'm doing next:huh: I'm still TTC, but have to talk to DH about next IVF (he's paying:o). He doesn't like the idea of creating babies inside a test tube, and me taking those hormone injections. He thinks it's a bit unnatural. But I don't care of course:D

I'm doing what my DH wants me to do for now - disgusting Chinese traditional medicine tea:lipsrseal twice a day for 8 weeks - so I'd think it's time to have my way next:p It's all about give and take:cool:
She didn't think she could get preg again and they had given up when I came along :p
    Isn't that always the way:D
My BMI is 15. something so I will have to work on increasing this as well which will help.
You may only have PCO not PCOS. In which case metformin may not be prescribed I don't know.
I know it's not my fault but I can't help feel bad for my OH. He's been so supportive about it and he doesn't seem bothered or worried. He's amazing :)
It's not your fault. It just one of your charms along with your good looks:p
I haven't temped the last couple of days. I'm full of cold and it started Thurs night with a really sore thoat and cough so for the last few nights I have hardly slept. Probably why my temps started going up!
    Take care (((hugs)))
