I guess I'm one of the lucky ones with regards to Metformin as I thankfully don't get that side effect at all - and I suffer from IBS sometimes.

It does seem like a very common side effect though.

I have IBS anyway and have had the most random pains the last couple of cycles anyway so hopefully I will cope :D. I'm guessing I might not get metformin anway, i'll see what my doctor suggests to sort my cycles out and get me ovulating!
I also have IBS. (I think there's research out there showing a connection of some sort)
A few months ago my doctor suggested eating carp basically to up my calories. It just made me feel like poo so that didn't last long. I think the more I stress about my weight the worse it is. I'm happy i eat enough and healthily so I dunno what else I can do. BTW- I'm not even bony or anything, you can't see my ribs or anything, im just petite!

My docs app is Tuesday so I'll keep you updated :)
I remember that now. I suspect it is your metabolism which you seem to have inherited, but did they deffo rule out any kind of food intolerance or anything? And have you worked out what food sets off your IBS to avoid it (that in itself can help your weight - sis has issues with keeping weight on with IBS). As your mum seems to be petite and had your bro and you, try not to worry too much... I know it's hard though :o
GTT? (im sure it's something really obvious!)
Glucose Tolerance Test ;) See how your body reacts to sugar over a 2hr period of time.
Regarding my OH as well, I just worry as well if this carried on for years say it might effect our relationship :(
Aye, I too have that fear, but he is brill (mine, not necessarily yours ;)) and I figure so long as we keep talking about everything together, we'll be ok :)
Urrghh...i hate unexpected visits! I'm a bit of a clean freak so have have to make the place like a show home before anyone can enter :D. What I ended up doing today actually...nothing like a good clean!
Ah I can't do all that any more, so I've had to leave my OCDs in the past (for the most part ;)), and rely on DH's cleaning abilities :o
I just want to apologise if I over reacted earlier, just my opinion and I don't want there to be any grudges or make anyone leave x
When I read kaemi's post I thought that she was coming from a good place, trying to help you, but that an upset person could be upset by the wording at first - it's very hard to get right in writing though. I don't want either of you to be upset or this to affect who stays or goes...:o

I actually read that as well about people with PCOS having IBS! The joys...

I've never actually been tested for any intolerances, since being on medication for it (the names completely gone...) *touch wood* i haven't had any probs. I'm guessing I don't have it that bad. I know alcohol and fizzy don't really help though but I don't have much of either anyway.

I have a teenie tiny sister too :D

I hope you don't mind me asking, obviously don't answer if you don't want to, I probably missed you saying earlier when I lurked more- I imagine you have MS or ME or something similar,am I right?

So you are pretty good looking then?:D

You may get clomid like me:o I ov'd pretty well with that:)

    Glucose tolerance test.

PCOS is only a little thing. Don't make it a biggie, it's very common. It's just that not all with PCOS are diagnosed with it. Hopefully, you'll catch your eggy with your next cycle:)

    haha! I wouldn't say so...maybe average but i'm happy with that :)

I know PCOS isn't the end of the world...I just feel like I have enough problems anyway...I joke to my OH that i'm broken :o

Can you tell im a worrier? :o

Mebeverine! Couldn't think of it as I just had metformin going over in my head :p

So sorry to hear you have ME. I'm glad you have a fab partner though :)

    Ohhh...that's creepy :p hehe

Is anyone else a F1/football widow this evening?

Hello everyone, hope you're all ok. ((hugs)) charlie, hope you're keeping your chin up and feel better for all the great advice these lovely ladies have given you today! :)

Thanks for all the kind wishes re my FIL. He is out of intensive care and apparently today the physio got him out of bed and sitting in a chair, which is great. (Can't remember if I said, but he had to have his bowel removed  )

I think my DH will be home tomorrow evening, which I'm pleased about because I miss him :)

Currently watching the F1 Grand Prix (or lack of - glad to see we're not the only country having a rubbish summer!)

My friend popped round this avo with her two DDs (4 and 1 - gorgeous!) which was nice, plus she brought me a bottle of red wine which this evening I may or may not have accidentally opened and poured a glass of....! ;)

Right well I've nothing else to add so will wander off now...thanks again for thinking of me guys, much appreciated xx

Just a warning - you may want to discuss the use of mebeverine with your doc...afaik preggo folk aren't supposed to take it, and my own doc said it's (ideally) a no-no when TTC too :o

Thanks :o It's a trial, but it's been a few years now so I know more where my limitations are now, so it's a bit easier than it was :) And DH is my very own superhero :A He met me when I was already ill (but not yet diagnosed) and still fell in love with me :A:kisses2::smileyhea
    Ohhh...that's creepy :p hehe
I alternate the word "broken" with "faulty" sometimes too ;):shhh:

Thankfully DH isn't interested in sports other than MMA, but he is on a health and fitness kick atm (which is good, and the results are telling) so I've lost him to a run (in the rain!) and the punch bag so far tonight, and now to the shower :p

Welcome back tinkwings :) You feeling any better about it all?

    Evening all,

Well I woke up with another headache today (think it's the weather), and after my cup of tea, I went back to sleep again for a couple of hours - got up at 11. Had breakfast. Lazed around watching TV, had lunch at 2 (prepared by Moon), then we went out for a coffee (chai latte in my case) at Caffe Nero. We came home not long after, as my headache was worse, and I'd started to feel a bit dizzy and sick, so I went back to bed. Moon and I watched some more TV for a bit, and I fell asleep again. I must have slept for about 4 extra hours today. Hope I can still sleep tonight. I decided not to go to my zumba class, as I didn't want to keel over and then have to get myself home after. Plus, my boobs are still hurting just when I walk, so didn't fancy the idea of bouncing around at class. Moon has gone out to his shooting club, so I'm going to venture downstairs in a minute to pack my lunch for tomorrow and make myself a cup of redbush tea and eat a banana.

Hugs to all who are feeling under the weather. Hope the fact that we've not heard from you BB is a good sign?

I've done pretty much the same! Although I was up at 7am, after 8 hours sleep, breakfast, went back to bed at 11 for 3 hours, then we had a late lunch and my DW and DS went for a nap and I swear I could have gone back down with them too! BUT I had to do some work from home I'd been putting off all week (boo!) - BUT thats out of the way now, at least. :T

My boobs are feeling a bit more tender than they were this morning and my DW said they were a bit fuller - this is official boobwatch! :D

I thought I may have a little ache under my right armpit too, there's no lump though and its only slightly tender too touch, I wonder if I am coming down with something. :(

I have literally lazed on the sofa all afternoon and been GLORIOUSLY lazy for once.

Hello all, I'm going to be back here again. Our little bean wasn't meant to be:(. I had an emergency scan last week due to severe pain they thought could be an ectopic. It wasn't but the pregnancy was only showing as about 5 weeks when I knew I should be 9 :(.

I'm booked in for another scan next week to check the "viability of the pregnancy" but have started to bleed quite a lot today so I don't think it's necessary (I didn't think so in the first place as with OH being on the other side of the world for the past month 5 weeks just wasn't possible).

Good news is OH is back home now (welcome home, your wife's in A&E:o) and he doesn't have to go back so we can start to try again.

Anyhoo, can someone get a BFP to cheer me up please?:)
