Trying for a Baby Part Six

mishkanorman wrote: »Mine freaked out - and still is ! My first 'baby' is 8 this year and my youngest is 6 on tuesday  and he has never stopped worrying about money. This time round we have barely talked about it, other than for him to offer a few weak reasons not to have another (previously it was the argument that we would need a bigger car and therefore a bigger garage - our car died last year and our new picasso seats 3 children in the back AND fits in the garage :T)
I would LOVE to have a hubby who asks if we are dtd at the right times, or take an interest in my cycles in any waybut I dont so there is no point getting hung-up on it. Its just the way he is and its the same with everything - he drags his heels as he is one of lifes worriers and so anything life changing like this sends him into a spin.
the best way i cope with his apparent lack of interest is to lurk here, i know he cares and will be awesome when the time comes but he just doesnt want to talk about it for every second of every day from now till then
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, im curled up in bed waiting for AF to appear. Ive had cramps every day since I Ov'd so feeling bit sorry for myself today
R U married to my husband?:rotfl: Mine isn't in the slightest interested other than BDing more often and buying me questionable undies to 'help'!
Have just been lurking this week, not really had anything to contribute.
QQ- sorry it didnt work out this time xx
And thanks for the advice re lack of periods, think I will wait until June to go to docs as then it will be 3 months since last af (although you never know, maybe a bfp before then, fingers crossed).
Have heard about a new job where I work, doing an element of my job, but full time and a higher grade, so in 2 minds what to do, whether or not to go for it and if I get it defer baby for a year (will be blinding mat leave too), or just to keep where I am.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, weather is lovely here today

PMA is really lacking right now! Don't know why, given that I've had a lovely day pottering in the garden, but I feel really "meh" right now. Walked up to the shops to get some milk and couldn't stop thinking about having/wanting a babyAlso, I've had a tummy ache all day, that feels like AF. I thought it could be ov pains (again!) but it hurts much more than usual, and is coupled with back pain which I always get with AF. Plus I don't have any EWCM
I really hope it's not AF as I haven't ov'd again this cycle and I won't be able to shake the feeling that there is something wrong with me...
x_Charlie_x wrote: »Thanks QQ. Can I ask what it means without the "S"? Is it just that you have the polcystic ovaries but not all the symptoms? At least it sounds promising even if I did have itWhen I saw the list I thought I was a day out :rotfl:Hmmm well before we even started TTC we started saving up as OH didn't want us to start until we had some savings. We've now been TTC for so long we've got quite a nice little pot so I should be able to take the full maternity leave (as my companies mat pay is pretty rubbish - 6 wks full, 6 wks 90%, rest SMP)
So its one upside of us taking so long but I'd rather have the baby than the money:oWe keep thinking this must be our month but it never is.
Hey ladiesHope everyone is well? I`ve been on holiday this week, so hoping the relaxing has done me some good  however, came back to find a letter with the operation date i`ve been waiting for over a year for! Not the best timing! Its for the 25th may, af is due next week, so will be playing it by ear as to if i have the op done or not
ah well, not alot i can do about it now!!
I had pink tinged cm on cd18 this month which i have NEVER had before??? Sbdta xxxPurplePink wrote: »Hey.
Desperate for some advice, i am due AF on Thursday, just took a poundshop test cos i am so impatient. However i had a blue line along with the normal pink one. Do you think i am pg?I don't mind makeup as such, but I only have it on for special occasions - weddings, occasionally birthdays etc. Apparently I do a decent enough job though (I think it's cos I do art rather than cos I'm girly iyswim) cos people thought my wedding makeup was professionally done :shocked:Have heard about a new job where I work, doing an element of my job, but full time and a higher grade, so in 2 minds what to do, whether or not to go for it and if I get it defer baby for a year (will be blinding mat leave too), or just to keep where I am.0 -
Me and OH bd'd earlier & afterwards (whilst I was lying on my back with my legs in the air:rotfl:) we watched the human body conception episode & it made him realise just how hard it can be to conceive. He was kissing my belly & rubbing hoping he has done the job!! Bless OH, hHe's made such a huge effort to BD all this week as it was ov time - he is so desperate for us to get pg now :happyhear
We keep thinking this must be our month but it never is.
Bless, that is so sweetIt will be your month soon

I'd go for it and still keep TTC! There are so many variables involved - you may or may not get the job, you may or may not get pg straight away (hopefully you will, to both, obv!) - don't put off aiming for the things you want.
Relax, let's hope it's ov:o Also, drink lots of water to increase cm:cool:
Thanks QQ
I don't think I was ov-ing - my temp nose-dived this morning (I did take it a bit earlier than normal due to cat waking me up honking up a hairball outside my bedroom door  ) No CM to speak of at all. I didn't drink all that much yesterday though so I will try to drink lots today
My friend (v close friend, known her since we were 4! ) dropped a bombshell the other night when she came round for dinner - she said her and her DH were going to start TTC hopefully later this year, once they've bought a house. Nothing remarkable about that, you might think, but this girl has never had ANY interest in babies, always complains about children crying etc when out in public, not a maternal bone in her body - by her own admission. Well she said she literally woke up one morning and her biological clock was ticking like crazy!
Now having said the other day that I'm not yet at the stage of being madly jealous about others with babbas, I would be DEVASTATED if she got pg before me!Terrible thing to say, and it would be pretty cool if we had kids of similar ages, but I just really really hope that we have a baby before them - we've wanted kids for ages whereas they've only just decided!
Anyway, must head off to the gym, have a nice day y'all - don't get blown away!

Fannyanna - I'm fairly sure I read on another ttc forum of plenty of people who are overwight and on clomid. I think it varies area to area on whether they'll prescribe it. Hope I don't have to find out
BMI 30 is a looooong way away for me.
Thank you. Well I had a mini panic on Friday and started feeling quite down as for me it would mean losing 5 stone.
Anyway PMA and I've been looking into a diet plan to follow but on a more casual basis i.e. just trying to establish a healthy lifestyle rather than following a rigid diet plan. Think I'm going to try the low GI. I can't cut our carbs completely but I can try and make sure that I avoid the bad carbs and eat the good carbs.
On the excercise front, I just bought zumba for the wii, and tried it out today for the first time. It's really good. I did 2 x 20 mins 'easy' classes and sweated buckets. It was good fun, but not for the unco-ordinated :rotfl: It really is harder than it looks....
Ooooh zumba for the wii - how exciting. I might have to buy that. Get my lardy butt movingDoctor rang me back this morning as my blood tests came back super quick (only taken yesterday). She said it does look like pcos from the blood results. She's already referred us to the fertility unit, and they'll confirm for sure. The appointment is estimated for about 4 weeks. She said they'll likely test my tubes etc to make sure everything is ok, and then prescribe for pcos. Hope this is the start of a relatively short journey for us
Won't stop me BD'ing again tomorrow :rotfl:
Wow that was quick. Hopefully you'll get what you need shortly x0 -

I just had an "ahhhhhh" moment reading that - especially the belly kissing/rubbing bit.0 -
Well on the PCOS front, after taking Metformin tablets for 4 days I started my period last night. The first for at least 8 months!!! Was very excited however, this morning it's stopped. Bit of an anti-climax but at the same time it's positive. Maybe after taking the Metformin for a bit longer things will get moving again.
Never thought I'd be so excited to have a period. But in my mind if I have periods, I may also ovulate and then I actually have a chance at getting pregnant0 -
